New Video: Ritualistic Practice and Adopting Spirituality

The following is the transcript of His Holiness Younus AlGohar's speech (video above).

There are people in every religion who strictly follow the mainstream set of beliefs, very orthodox. Their practice is not very profound; they just follow the rituals of the religion. They are not in the pursuit of obtaining God’s nearness or adopting the spiritual path of purification, mortification and purgation. They are just superficial practitioners of the religion. They are not really into what they are doing; they just go for the face-value. And then, there are always some people in all religions who want to go beyond heaven and the beautiful damsels in the heaven - who want to go for God and love. A majority of people in all religions are very strict, superficial and ritualistic, and they follow the Black Letter Law. They do not want to dig out the real meaning of the Holy Scriptures. They just want to do what is easiest for them to do. Going to the church every Sunday is not a difficult thing to do, but when you adopt spiritual path, it is more than a full-time job; it’s a target and a lifetime aim. One has to completely dedicate himself in purifying and mortifying himself.

Adopting spirituality is more difficult than becoming a hermit; when you become a hermit, you stop meeting people and you make the jungle your abode. You don’t want to see human beings; you live a very solitary, lonely life. But, when you want to adopt spirituality, then hermitage appears to be less difficult, because adopting spirituality is changing your inner and out, changing your thought-process, changing your behaviour and changing your entire system. The source of enjoyment changes and the source of peace [changes]. For example, some people become peaceful when they see money and some people are not peaceful when their pocket is empty; for them, the source of peace is money. But for some people, their pockets are full but their hearts are empty of peace. Some people have everything, every single luxury of the world under their belt, but even then they seem to be in the wilderness; they do not find peace. So, the source is different. Some peace is very superficial; that peace is money, properties and material wealth. But then, some will find peace only when their souls are awakened and they have the content of the heart; they will have the content of the heart when their heart is enlightened and their heart has found its inhabitant.

Islam itself is a beautiful religion. The principles of Islam are the principles of every messenger. When Adam came, he talked about good things; he taught people to love God and humanity. Then Abraham taught people to love God, love humanity and respect all. Moses was the liberator; he liberated people from the tyranny of Pharaoh, he asked people to recognise God in their lives and to dedicate to God in worship and love. Then we have Jesus. Jesus was the Divine Example on two legs, he was the Walking God. He talked about Divine Love. Jesus was the first of all messengers who exhibited gallantry, bravery and he was 'Dabangg' (a brave heart); he sort of taught rebellion against the ritualistic approach to God. He said, 'How can you find God in a building that you built with your own hands? Turn your heart into the temple of God.' He said, 'Love your God your Lord with all your heart, with all your soul.' In a nutshell, the teachings of Jesus circumbulated around one foremost and principle reality, and this reality was God's love.

It is so pleasant to see familiarities between the doctrine of Jesus and the doctrine of Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi.

His Divine Grace Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi says, 'A dog is better than a man who doesn't have God's love in his heart.' He said, 'A Christian says that he is the best, Jews say they are the best, Muslims say they are the best; but Gohar Shahi says, "The best is the one who has God's love in his heart, even if he doesn’t follow any religion."'

In simple words, Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi has exhibited to the world the true significance of God's love. He has highlighted God’s love, whereas in the religions and Holy Scriptures, religions had the upper hand and God's love was not dominant. God's love was not mentioned with so much dominance, it was not highlighted; it was not the prime objective in any religion. There are so many different types of directives from God and so many different objectives in the religion; however, love is one of them! However, Jesus and Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi have nullified all else and gave all significance to divine love.

His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, 'If you do not love God, then your religious practice is futile; and if you love God, then it doesn't matter whether you follow a religion or you don't.'

Now, HDE Gohar Shahi is changing the way we think. And this message of HDE Gohar Shahi is not designed to cater the needs of one particular group of nation or religion. The message has so much absorbency in itself - it is so universal and so great that it can absorb all religions. The message is so profound. Look at the depth of this message! If you have God's love in your heart, then you are the best! You are better than those who practise a religion but even then they do not love God! It is like if somebody works eight hours a day, yet he is hand-to-mouth and then there is a guy who doesn’t work at all, but his pockets are always full. You can easily say that this unemployed man whose pockets are full all the time is better than those who work all the time yet they are crying and are always hand-to-mouth. We understand that you must work in order to support yourself financially; if that work is not earning you enough money so that you can support yourself and your family, then the one who is unemployed and whose pockets are full is better than them. Similarly, these religions were established for people so that they practise these religions and out of this practice, as a result, they manage to love God.

Now, if you practise a religion and this practice doesn’t lead you to love God, then this practice is futile and useless. Why is this practice of the religion not leading you to love God eventually? In the olden days, prophets and messengers were sent to establish these religions. The design and plan from God was to let these people exercise, practise and observe the Black Letter Law; they should practise this religion and this will lead them to love God eventually. But now, the Lord said that all religions and all Holy Scriptures have been subjected to a lot of alterations and adulterations. So many things have been modified in the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is not the same Bible anymore; the Quran is not the same Quran which was revealed onto the heart of Prophet Mohammad. When the religions and Holy Scriptures are messed with and tampered with by half-baked scholars - there are half-baked scholars in all religions- for example, we have this creed system in Christianity. The Church of England, from time to time, they sit together and say, 'From now on this practice will be irreligious and this practice will be banned.' What was not part of the religion at the time of Jesus, they sit together and under the creed system they say, 'From today, this will be considered as religious practice.' For example, the Church of England, they have done so many things which were not part of Christianity at the time.

In a similar way, Islam has gone through that phase and they also have this creed system now, which they call 'Ijtehaad'. Their statements contradict a lot. For example, their principle belief is, 'Nothing is outside Quran. All sorts of knowledge is found in the Quran,' and then they say, 'What is not in Quran, what is not said by the Prophet, then we will do Ijtehaad on this.' But you said everything is in the Quran; there is no need for Ijtehaad then! Ijtehaad in Islam is the same thing as creed in Christianity. You are sitting together to take a decision on something which doesn’t belong to you. These religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism - belong to the messenger who established it. If you want to bring some changes, consult the messenger; but you don’t have the approach and you are not connected. When this happened, when they didn’t find proper instructions about certain things in the Bible or Quran, they did not think, 'We should have approach Jesus or Mohammad.' Rather, they thought, 'Okay, there are no clear-cut instructions on this topic in the Quran or Bible. Let's sit together and make a decision.' This is where they went wrong.

When this happened, the Bible was adulterated. The Quran were adulterated – when we talk about modification in the Quran, we do not mean the text has been changed. We do not say the text has been changed, rather, we say the meaning has been tampered with. Now, it doesn’t matter whether the text was modified or the meaning was misinterpreted, because if the meaning is misinterpreted and you fail to understand what God meant by what you are reading today, then it doesn't really matter whether the text or the meaning was changed. In a similar way, the Quran has been greatly misinterpreted. Why? Because in order to understand God's words, you need a Divine Teacher! You need somebody who is in connected with the messenger, because God directly spoke with him and told him the meaning of the Bible and the Quran. Jesus knows what the meaning of the teachings in the Bible is and only those will know about the teachings who are connected to Jesus. If somebody is not connected to Jesus, he will not come to know the real meaning of the Bible.

In a similar way, there are Sufis who were connected to God. From time to time, they gave people the true interpretation of the Quran; with that, they were able to enlighten their souls and approach God. Those who were able to do this never ever hated anybody, they never ever took it to the swords and they never cut the throats of non-Muslims. Whoever appeared to them, they blessed them. Their message was love. There were so many Muslim Sufis and they loved Christians and Jews the same way they loved Muslims. They did not have any grudge against non-Muslims. Being a non-Muslim is not a sin! Being a Christian is not a sin! Being a Jew is not a sin because Jews did not become Jews on their own. Christians in America and England say that there are three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All the prophets unanimously believe that Abraham is the father - and we have the same belief system. We believe Abraham is the father of all the prophets. And, to your utter surprise, the Quran says the same thing. We say, 'Abrahamic faith,' and the Quran says, 'Millat-e-Ibrahim.' Muslims now hate Jews because of misinterpretation of the Quran. If the prophet of Islam had taught Muslims to hate Jews, then they would not send salutations and benedictions on the progeny of Abraham and Abraham himself during their worship.

All Muslims go to Mecca for annual pilgrimage and they circumbulate around Kaaba, the black cubicle. In that holy place, most of the things belong to Abraham. For example, there is a passage upon which everybody has to run; it is a half-mile passage called 'Safa Marwa.' All Muslims have to run on this. Why? Because Ismail's mother, Hagar, was holding Ismail and she was running on that passage searching for water. In order to celebrate that moment, God has imposed doing that running bit on that particular spot for all Muslims. This is in the memory of Abraham’s concubine, Hagar. And then there are three different places in Mecca where there are statues of the devil; they go before these statues and stone the statue. Why? Because those three spots were the posts where Abraham was met by the devil. So, in this annual pilgrimage to Mecca, 90% of the worship is pertaining to Abraham.

Muslims have misinterpreted the Quran; then you say that Jews are your enemy? This is so wrong! And then in Quran, God said, 'I have prescribed the pilgrimage of this house, Kaaba, on all human beings.' According to the Quran, all human beings should go on pilgrimage to Kaaba, but Muslims of Saudi Arabia do not let anybody enter. There is a border, a point outside Mecca; from beyond that point, no non-Muslims can go [there]. This is because of the misinterpretation of the Quran. At the time of Prophet Mohammad, even the Kuffar (infidels) used to go to the pilgrimage of Kaaba - and now you do not allow non-Muslims. There is a difference between non-Muslim and Kuffar; if somebody is a Kafir, he/she rejects God. If he/she rejects God, he/she will not accept Christianity, Islam, Judaism or any religion. But those who consider themselves to be Jews or Christians, it simply means they believe in God - so not all non-Muslims are Kafir. Those who practise a religion and that religion was prescribed by their messengers and prophets, they are not Kafireen; they are as good as Muslims (if Muslims are good).

The Quran has been tampered with misinterpretation and the Traditions of the Prophet have been tampered with misquotation. Now, it is impossible to gain any benefits out of the practice of the religion which has been tampered with; therefore, the religions have lost their significance and credentials. Today, none of the religions have any credibility in terms of connecting people with God.

Therefore, HDE Gohar Shahi has done a favour upon humanity, declaring, 'All you want to do is to be able to love God. Forget about the religion if you don’t want to follow it. As long as you love God, it is enough for you.'

So, our message is love - whether it is for Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians or Jews. For example, people of Adam, they believe in Adam - but eventually, what is their target? To love and worship God. People of Abraham; you are a Jew, no problem; but what is the objective? The objective that that prophet came with is to enable you to love God and worship God. Same goes for the people of Moses, Jesus, and Prophet Mohammad. All these messengers and prophets came down on Earth with one objective: to help humanity love and worship God. When the objective, destination and destiny is the same, why should we fight? Why should we kill each other?

These religions are classifications. Now all the religions have been messed up. Let's cut the crap out and get to the point. 'Cut the crap out,' means that these religions have become futile, let's get to the point. The point is: the purpose of all these religions was to make you love God. Now they have become futile, they have been tampered with and adulterated and they have become like a vehicle which cannot take you anywhere. So now, get to the point and the point is that you start loving God. The tools of love are here, the methodology has been sent. It’s not like we are just saying, 'love God,' and nobody knows how to love God. We are not asking people to do things they cannot do. We are asking people to have these tools, methodology and help on top of that - and become able to love God.

It’s not about changing the religion; it’s about changing your heart.

All the religions were worthy of respect, because whatever is in the Bible came from God. Whatever was in the book of Adam came from God and whatever is in Quran - it was brought by Prophet Mohammad - but it came from God. When all these books are the word of God, the same God, then why fight? That is the message.

Next time, I'll give you a comparative view of Muslim spirituality, Jewish spirituality and Christian spirituality. I have a Gnostic Bible. Gnostic knowledge is the knowledge which is from God and will take you to God; a knowledge that is from God for God. In Christianity, there was a group of people and they called themselves Gnostics. In those times, if somebody said, 'I am not a Christian, I am a Gnostic,' it means, if you sit with them, you are sitting with God - because they had the knowledge that came to them from God so that that knowledge could take them to God. With the help of that knowledge, people recognised God and God's presence within them. This is the knowledge of Gnosticism.

Islam (Sharia) of the Taliban vs. the Islam of Prophet Mohammad

The following is translation of His Holiness Younus AlGohar's speech. View the original video above.

Currently, negotiations are taking place between the Taliban and the Pakistani Government of Nawaz Sharif.

It is important that Islam be implemented, not just the Sharia, because the Prophet Mohammad implemented Islam, not Sharia. We are followers of Islam and call ourselves Muslim. But there are four parts of Islam: Shariat, Tariqat, Haqiqat and Muarifat; why does the Taliban only want to impose one part of Islam and not the entire religion of Islam? The demand of imposing Sharia in Pakistan is an un-Islamic demand because only Sharia is not Islam. Is there any one scholar in the world who can claim that Sharia alone is the complete Deen of Islam?

The Quran says:

ٱدۡخُلُواْ فِى ٱلسِّلۡمِ ڪَآفَّةً۬

Adopt the religion of Islam completely.

Adopting the Sharia alone is not adopting Islam completely, because the practice of Sharia alone does not enable one to reach God. Prophet Mohammad established the religion of Islam.

The question arises, which Sharia does the Taliban want to impose? Before imposing the Sharia on society, purify yourself first! The Taliban do not know what Sharia is and which Sharia should be practised. Assume that the Taliban wants to implement their version of the Sharia; but the Sharia of a Sunni, the Sharia of a Wahabbi and the Sharia of a Shiite all differ. If the Wahabbi are in the majority and their version of the Sharia is imposed, then the Shiite and Sunni sects, despite being Muslim, would be in minority; whereas in the era of Prophet Mohammad, the non-Muslims were in minority.

Those who want to impose the Sharia are not in power, yet they are carrying out bomb blasts on the mosques! Any sort of negotiation with the Taliban is dubious and extreme Kufr (infidelity). Negotiations are made with intellectuals and the Taliban are not intellectual; rather, they are insane. On one hand, they want to implement the Sharia; in doing so, they are creating chaos. They are taking lives of innocent people and bombing the mosques, during which copies of the Holy Quran are burned also. What kind of religious struggle is this in which the Holy Book of God is disrespected? They are destroying the tombs of the Saints of God and justify all of this as the implementation of Sharia. This is direct blasphemy to God and making a mockery of Islam. These so-called negotiations will have no outcome; this entire political drama is based on hypocrisy.

If there are any ethical Muslims left in the Pakistan Army, they should implement the Martial Law before the remaining land of Pakistan is taken away from them. At this moment in time, there is no better solution. Why kind of religious struggle and hypocrisy is this where no bomb blasts are carried out in Punjab and all bomb blasts are carried out in Peshawar, Karachi or Quetta? Maybe the hidden agenda behind these negotiations is to accept some terms and conditions set by the Taliban in order to give them power in the government. When the Taliban will be given power in the government, they will openly inflict cruelty upon the public.

His Divine Eminence Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi states, 'Before the government of Pakistan is given into the hands of the Dervish, it will go into the hands of the clerics for one year and in that one year they will inflict great cruelty upon the people.'

Most of the philosophers and journalists have been bought out by the Taliban. They have no religion; their religion is money only. They are in the business of taking bribes, and presenting falsehood as the truth and the truth as falsehood.

I give this slogan to the people:

Implementation of the Sharia, alone, is un-Islamic; Islam should be implemented!

Implement the real Islam and you will see that these Taliban are the Kafireen (Infidels), they are Mardoud (rejected by God). Implementation of the real Islam will call for their heads first.

What are the customs of Prophet Mohammad and what are the teachings of Islam?  How did Islam order Muslims to behave with other non-Muslims? The religion of Islam permitted all religions to freely worship according to their respective religions. Islam fully permits Hindus to build temples, Christians to build churches, Jews to build synagogues and gives complete rights to all other minorities. If the real Islam is implemented, then things will improve and the very existence of the Taliban would be wiped out - because according to the Islam of Prophet Mohammad, they are all Infidels.

The Stern Tone of the Spiritual Guide a Blessing for the Nafs

The following is a translation of His Holiness Younus AlGohar's speech.

In spirituality, the Spiritual Guide maintains a stern tone when dealing with the seekers and it helps keep their Nafs (Self) really low and fearful. Currently, people have zero tolerance and they argue over everything. However, this behaviour is completely against spirituality. Those who argue have forgotten who they are addressing. I wanted to give spiritual knowledge in a friendly manner, but people did not value it. Sweet talk and leniency spoils the Nafs, whereas a stern tone keeps the Nafs humble.

Some disciples were sitting in the company of Junaid Baghdadi (a saint) when Abu Bakr Shibli (a disciple) came. The other disciples sitting there praised Abu Bakr Shibli and said, 'He is one of your perfect disciples (Kamil Mureed).' Junaid Baghdadi immediately sat Abu Bakr Shibli where the shoes of all other disciples were. He did this so the praise would not spoil the Nafs of Abu Bakr Shibli.

When His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi would stay in my home, HDE maintained such a stern tone. Two weeks would pass without even speaking to HDE whilst living in the same home. When I would go for mission activities, HDE Gohar Shahi would show no reaction and would not praise me. Once I made a request to HDE Gohar Shahi, 'May my entire life be spent in servitude to your mission.' The Lord replied, 'God will take as much work from you as he desires.' Upon hearing this, my Nafs felt low.

Because of my soft tone, love, brotherhood and respect, peoples’ Nafoos (Selves) became spoiled. If the one appointed to purify your Nafs has to respect and please your Nafs, how will your Nafs become purified? A few stern words from the Spiritual Guide sets off your mood and you stop coming to see him. This is not spirituality - nor do you understand spirituality.

The Nafs must first be hurt before it is purified. When the Nafs is hurt, it sits quietly and becomes discouraged. Then the Spiritual Guide adopts a cold attitude towards the seeker. Spirituality is not for those who have to be pleased every minute, for those who get upset over everything or for those whom the Spiritual Guide has to apologise to.

That is not spirituality! A Spiritual Guide will have to keep a very stern behaviour with the seeker and that will help them purify their Nafs. If my words are sweet and I have to respect you, then I can guarantee to you that you can never ever be able to purify your Nafs, no matter how many years you spend here in my company.

When people hear stern words, they become angry. Their tongues may be quiet, but I can hear the barking of their Nafs. When Divine Light (Noor) enters the heart, the heart becomes satisfied; this is very easy. But the Nafs must be satisfied in the stern tone of the Spiritual Guide. The Laws of spirituality are different. The Nafs is not simply purified through Divine Light; rather, many ingredients are necessary to complete this dish. A stern tone makes the Nafs feel low. As soon as the Nafs feels low, the Guide feeds the Nafs of the seekers with Divine Light and this is how the Nafs is cleansed.

If a baby insists on eating a kebab, the father tells the baby sternly to eat its own food. If the baby does not listen, the father forces the baby. The Nafs is the same way. If a strong Nafs is given the food of Divine Light, it does not accept it. But when a stern tone is used and the Nafs is scolded over petty things, the Nafs becomes weak and fearful. At this point, if Divine Light is given to the Nafs, it accepts it quietly because the Nafs is fearful of being humiliated in front of people. The Nafs fears humiliation.

Because of the stern tone of His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi, I often had the conjecture that I was a Munafiq (hypocrite). I understood at the end that the stern tone of HDE Gohar Shahi was a blessing through which the Nafs was kept low and purified; it was the means to shatter the ego. People do not understand spirituality. If they are spoken to in a stern tone, they get angry. They might not say anything with their tongue, but they are constantly grumbling and justifying themselves inside.

It is said in spirituality that when you sit in front of a scholar, control your tongue and when you sit in the company of Dervish, control your heart.

Hadith: Beware of the sight of a man of God, for he sees with the Light of God (Noor).

There were many reasons why I kept a soft tone with people after the Occultation of HDE Gohar Shahi. Those who intended to love HDE Gohar Shahi, I did not want to say anything to turn them away because I wanted to unite them. I thought the Nafs could be dealt with later on; but because of my soft tone over the last 12 years, people became accustomed to it.

If someone always speaks to you in a soft tone and then suddenly, one day his tone becomes stern, you won’t like it. If someone always speaks to you in a stern tone and once in 10 years he speaks to you in a soft tone, you would really like it. Adaptability is in the nature of the Nafs. If you do not make your Nafs accustomed to respect, then the Nafs becomes patient with being insulted.

If the Nafs is always insulted and suddenly someone gives it respect, the Nafs would have difficulty believing it. The Nafs would feel it is not worthy of respect. We did not keep a stern tone and therefore the Nafoos of people became argumentative and so impatient that if they are slightly scolded, they cry and beg for forgiveness. However, this is confined to their tongues only and the incentive behind this 99% of the time is to hush the matter so that they are not humiliated any further.

To control the anger of the Nafs inside after being scolded is a miracle in my eyes. Do you think that one who His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi has shown Riaz al Jannah (Kingdom of Lord Ra Riaz in the Unseen World) and one in whose heart knowledge is transferred from the heart of HDE Gohar Shahi without any medium or Gabriel - would he not be aware of the anger inside of you? Would he not be aware of the plans that are being made against him? The conspiracies that women make against me, am I not able to see them? Keeping quiet despite knowing all is great endurance. Shun this habit of arguing and you will reform your character - not only with your Spiritual Guide, but with everyone.

After spending time in the company of HDE Gohar Shahi, if anyone asks me to do anything, it doesn’t cross my mind who is saying it. I will do it for them. If in front of me you agree to do something, but because of your ego you refuse to do the same thing for anyone else when they ask you, then this is hypocrisy. By doing so, you are taking yourself away from the Lord. If you break somebody’s heart, your Nafs will become stronger and the Nafs will compel you to believe that you are not lesser than anybody else. However this attitude is not acceptable in spirituality - although it may be in this world. Those who bring a worldly approach into spirituality can never be successful.

People think they do not sin, so their character is pure. But, HDE Gohar Shahi has said, 'There are two types of devils. One is the real devil and the other is an imposter.' The imposter devil engages you in exoteric sins such as consuming alcohol, adultery, etc. and the real devil destroys your heart by engaging your heart in esoteric sins such as enmity, jealousy, greed and false pride.

Prophet Mohammad said, 'One who has even the slightest amount of false pride in his heart is not worthy of entering the paradise.'

Believe me: the pleasure in adopting humility is far greater than having false pride. If you say something full of arrogance, you will feel you have committed. If you adopt humility, you will feel as if you have done a good deed. Test it for yourself. If someone comes and insults you, keep quiet. There will be no mischief because it takes two to argue; if you keep quiet and do not react, the issue will die down. Then, a time will come when your Nafs will begin to pray for those who insult you. HDE Gohar Shahi is my witness: you begin to pray for them and feels sorry for their naivety, because your Nafs became more humble thanks to their stern behaviour. A soft tone will not work to purify the Nafs!

In 1995, the voice of HDE Gohar Shahi came out from my mouth unintentionally. I was very worried; it is impossible to imitate the voice of the Lord. I called HDE in Kotri, Pakistan and HDE repeated the same thing to me which had come from my mouth. From there on, whenever a message or the voice of HDE Gohar Shahi came out from my mouth, I would tell HDE. This was a very delicate matter which I was very careful about, but it continued to happen and every time I would call the Lord. One day, HDE said, 'Believe it; any message that comes from us is truthful. If you must phone every time, then what is the use of my sub-spirits inside of you?' I felt relieved to hear this. After Ghaibah (Occultation), whenever the voice of the Lord would come out from my mouth, I would have an evil whisper whether it was the truth or whether the devil was whispering in my ears. Then in 2006, I was shocked when an envelope belonging to HDE Gohar Shahi was found in the home of a follower of HDE in the United States of America. There were some papers in the envelope that were written in HDE Gohar Shahi handwriting on a notepad from the Galadari Hotel in Sri Lanka. The date written on those papers was the same date during which I was staying in the Galadari Hotel. In those days, what I spoke about in the internet gatherings was the same as what HDE Gohar Shahi had written on the notepad, word for word. I was amazed to see the name of MFI (Mehdi Foundation International) written by HDE Gohar Shahi’s hand.

His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said to me, 'I live in your heart, so you can never be misguided.' Upon hearing this, I became worried. Would the Lord only come into my heart to stop me from being misguided? I thought that if the Lord came into my heart, the Rapturous Love of the Lord would increase in my heart. HDE Gohar Shahi said, 'There comes a time when even a Dhakir-e-Qalbi (one whose heart has been initiated with the name of the Lord) is misguided. A times comes when even one whose seven Lataif (subtleties) are enlightened becomes misguided. There even comes a time when those in the process of becoming saints are misguided. But one who has obtained Divine Union (Wasal) is never misguided.' I said to HDE, 'One whose heart is initiated by the will of God, it means that God has given him guidance.' HDE replied, 'If God does not grant you guidance, what can you do? Is the initiation of the heart a guarantee that you cannot be misguided?'

The Quran states:
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغۡ قُلُوبَنَا بَعۡدَ إِذۡ هَدَيۡتَنَا وَهَبۡ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةً‌ ‌

O' God, after granting guidance to our hearts, do not turn our hearts away from you.

Even if the heart is initiated or purified, there is no guarantee.

HDE said, 'A time will come when only those will be protected from misguidance who have Gohar in their hearts.'

I saw this practically at the time of Occultation. My heart was full of evil whispers. Even having an enlightened heart did not make me satisfied. Then I remembered the words of the Lord, 'I live in your heart, so you can never be misguided.' I was relieved and realised that this phrase from the Lord was for this time.

We have seen the sainthood of many saints taken back from them. If their sainthood can be cancelled, would they have any Emaan (faith) left? Those who possess Divine Light in their hearts can lose it by blaspheming a saint or a prophet. If someone keeps a grudge for the Representative of Imam Mehdi in his heart, would he still have any Divine Light in his heart?

The reason for the decline in the characters of people around us, day by day, is mentioned in the Hadith and in the Deen-e-Ilahi (Religion of God) also. God says, 'And I declare was against those who bear animosity towards my friends/saints.' God declares war against those who give pain to and blaspheme his saints and God’s declaration of war is not beheading or putting someone in jail. Rather, God’s wrath and curse fall upon those hearts and their Emaan is further destroyed with each passing day. The Divine Light is taken from their hearts and such people become more and more blasphemous; this is the Divine Law. You will see it in their character.

After Occultation, I repeated this phrase often: 'We do not have the power to save ourselves from misguidance. It is the Merciful Glance of HDE Gohar Shahi that has kept all of our Emaan alive.' This is the sheer truth. A human being is not capable at any stage to protect his Emaan because the one who has decided to guide or misguide a person is God. If God decides to misguide you, all your knowledge and sacrifices would be useless, all your Divine Light would be confiscated and you would be helpless.

You can remain on the path of guidance only when the Lord of the Lords is merciful upon you, the one who can convince God in your favour. Because you do not have the power to save yourselves, you must stay connected to the one who has obtained Divine Union.

The Quran says,
يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُواْ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

The spiritual status of a Sadiq (Truthful One) is greater than that of a Momin and this is why even the Quran has ordered a Momin to keep the company of a Sadiq.

Therefore, those who are connected to the Spiritual Guide do not go against his will. If the sun is out and the Spiritual Guide says it is night, then the seeker should believe that it is night. The best way to please the Guide is to be in obedience to him.

After Occultation, I said to people, 'HDE Gohar Shahi has given the guarantee for my guidance. Hence, if you do as I do, your guidance is guaranteed because one who has the sub-spirits of the Lord in him cannot go astray; the Lord resides within him.'

New Video: Taliban Se Muzakarat Aur Us Ki Haqiqat

His Holiness Younus AlGohar gives advice to the Pakistani government on dealing with the Taliban. He proves that negotiating with them is out of the question. His Holiness also points out that it would be un-Islamic to impose Sharia Law in Pakistan, as Sharia is only one part of Islam and to only practise Sharia is to practise Islam incompletely. Rather, he suggests that the entirety of Islam should be put into practise.
