Younus AlGohar's spiritual remedy for the addiction to watching adult films and sodomy in answer to a viewer's question:

'Enlightened believers refrain from indecent deeds, however, the Carnal Self incites one to engage in bad deeds from time to time. Please explain how one can become a Contended Self?'

Main points:

- A Prophetic Tradition narrates: Do not to look at a woman who is not in related to you. This is because your Carnal Self becomes lustful. Prophet Mohammad declared that a non-related man and woman are never alone, the Devil is definitely present with them.

- Pornography takes away the modesty of a person’s eyes. Watching pornographic films becomes a disease; not only are there esoteric (spiritual) diseases attached with it but also physically and scientifically it is being proven that those who become addicted to porn develop erectile dysfunction which leads to impotency.

- The diseases which are caused by a virus are because of bacteria which enter the bloodstream and the cure for them is antibiotics. Similarly, sins also bring esoteric diseases. Alcohol has esoteric insects which enter the bloodstream, when the blood completes its cycle you begin to crave alcohol and this is where addiction starts.

- In a similar way, people become addicted to homosexuality which also has esoteric insects attached with it. If someone becomes addicted to homosexuality, the esoteric insects compels them to do it and they are unable to stop. The only cure to this is in Spirituality, it cannot be cured physically. The saints and spiritual dignitaries have the cure.

- Adultery has been classified in many different forms. Whether it is touching, listening, speaking or watching, if it is done with lustful intentions, you are committing adultery. So, if you watch pornography, you are committing the adultery of the eyes. If you do it often then an abundance of esoteric insects enter your bloodstream. There is only one antidote for this: Divine Light.

- The Divine Light of God's name must enter your heart; into the bloodstream and into your eyes. Even if you are compelled to watch pornography, visualise the name of God and one day your eyes will become pure and the Divine Light will push out the esoteric sins out of your bloodstream.

- Sultan Haq Bahu and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar would visit me and tell me about His Divine Eminence’s grandeur. And I have seen the Seal of Mehdihood with my own two eyes on HDE Gohar Shahi’s back.

- I have seen the Ayat ul Kursi and Surah-e-Yaseen written on the nails of HDE Gohar Shahi’s thumbs. I have seen the Personal Name of God inscribed within the skin of HDE Gohar Shahi and the Surah-e-Rehman on His head. I have also seen HDE Gohar Shahi physically flying, as well as spiritually.

- Prophet Mohammad (saw) told me that HDE Gohar Shahi is Imam Mehdi and he told me to announce it. These are the things which have made my heart content with the truth.

The reality of visualisation in Spirituality: Can one become a servant of Prophet Mohammad and a friend of God through visualisation? A viewer's question answered by Sayedi Younus AlGohar.

Main Points:

- You may visualise anything, there is no reality to it. If you imagine that you are a pilot, it doesn’t make you a pilot. Being a servant of Prophet Mohammad; first, you need to understand what is meant by being a servant. A servant is one who obeys every single command of the Spiritual Guide; one who does not do anything from his own desire.

- We try to follow the customs of Prophet Mohammad but the comforts of our body and the desires of the Carnal Self become the biggest hurdle in the way.  A true servant of Prophet Mohammad is one who purifies his Carnal Self and Prophet Mohammad takes the Carnal Self in his servitude, showers his merciful glance upon it and transforms the desires of the Carnal Self to fall in accordance with him.

- You cannot become a friend of God just by visualisation. There are to main aspects: You must be able to converse with God, at least. Secondly, you must be able to see God. According to Hadith-e-Jibreel: make the quality and standard of your worship as such that you are able to see God, and if you are incapable of doing this then make yourself worthy of being seen by God.

- Koran: God does not look at your bodies, rather he looks at your hearts and the intentions therein. Therefore, you must polish your heart with the Light of God so that it falls under the sight of God. This is the way of becoming a friend of God.

What is the difference between the worship of Adam and the worship of the Devil?

Adam Safi Allah's worship consisted of a mixture of exoteric (physical) knowledge and esoteric (spiritual) knowledge. He would make mention of God's name with his tongue and at the same time, his heart would engage in the remembrance of God. Whereas, the Devil only engaged in physical worship. Everything was just verbal. And this is the same case with the clerics of today.

Is it necessary to 'look the part' in order to practise Spirituality?

Younus AlGohar's wonderful response to a viewer's question.

Main points:

- Those who say one must look a certain way, specifically to appear saintly, in order to be on the Spiritual path and that one must practise Sharia completely are ignorant because they do not possess the knowledge of Spirituality. There is a standard which the clerics and so-called spiritual guides have kept for themselves, they don’t actually know anything. The only reason why they have kept their appearance ‘saintly’ is so that their pockets remain heavy.

- The word ‘Bayt’ is an Arabic word and it means ‘to sell oneself’. When you pledge allegiance to someone you are essentially selling yourself to them. Now, if you have sold yourself and that spiritual guide becomes responsible for you, so what happens if that spiritual guide is exposed to be a phoney on the Day of Judgement? You will be left hand-to-mouth.

- Religions are like schools and colleges. It easy to accept the religion and become a practitioner. However, in order to become a true follower, the prerequisite is the permission of Prophet Mohammad as well as God’s permission because whether or not God actually wants to love someone also factors in. Your worship is not enough; they are being done for your own sake and it is adulterated, it is not pure because you are riddled with thoughts of the world, your personal desires and all other thoughts. And many people offer Salat just to show-off to the world.

- However, when your heart engages in the remembrance of God, the number of times your heart says the name of God is undetectable to the one sitting next to you. This is silent worship, it is between man and God and there is no element of showing-off in it. It is the evidence of faith. When the name and light of God enter the heart, that is when you actually enjoy in the performance of worship, that is when your Salat actually refrains you from the committing bad deeds.

- We do not have any direct connection or contact with God nor do we know where God is, therefore, those who have been rewarded by God, those who are under God’s supervision they are the friends of God who are the best companions for you in the path to God because they have connection to God. And this comes from another school or college and it is called Spirituality and you are granted admission to it with the permission of God.

- When the heartbeats engage in making mention of God’s name then all the esoteric vices such as envy, jealousy, malice etc. get pushed out from the heart by virtue of the Divine Light, the heart becomes enlightened and it starts pumping Divine Light into the bloodstream thus it reaches your hands, your eyes, your legs. Everywhere. And at this point, man becomes dominated by God’s light.

Younus AlGohar responds to a viewer's question: When does Divine Light enter the words of someone?

Main Points:

- The function of the brain is to store memory. The mind, subconscious mind and the unconscious mind store memory in the brain. It does not have the ability to think. The subtlety through which we think is in our brain and it is called the Subtlety of Ana.

- Until the Subtlety of Ana is under the influence of the Devil, it will have evil layers on it thus your thoughts are impure. When Divine Light enters it then your thoughts will become pure. Whatever you are thinking of saying will come from the Subtlety of Ana.

- The ability to speak comes from another spirit called the Subtlety of Akhfah and it rests in the middle of the chest. When you speak, the thought first travels to the heart - which acts as a middle point and from the heart it goes to the Subtlety of Akhfah and then it is delivered through the tongue.

- When the thought or some knowledge comes to the heart and your heart is corrupted then anything that enters the heart is delivered onto the tongue as mischief. If the heart possesses Divine Light then when the thought hits the heart and it is delivered onto the tongue through the Akhfah, it will render Divine Light.

- A prophetic tradition narrates: Be aware of the ignorant scholar. The companions asked the prophet what this means and Prophet Mohammad explained that an ignorant scholar is one who is well-versed in the knowledge of the religion but his heart is dark (void of Divine Light). Hence, reciting the Koran with an enlightened heart is more important.

Main Points:

- His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi never claimed to be the Awaited Imam Mehdi. People object as to why we call His Divine Eminence Imam Mehdi and it's simply because we have done our research, this is our own observation and experience and we have recognised Him. There is no compulsion, if this is not your observation, experience or research then you don't have to believe it. Besides, just because we are saying this, it will not impose the protocol of Imam Mehdi.

- There are two eras for the Awaited Imam Mehdi. In the first era, Imam Mehdi made people the aspirants of God and prepared them. In the second era, when Imam Mehdi Himself announces His advent is when He shall take the pledge of allegiance from His followers.

- Therefore, it is important for people to first aspire God and they fulfil the prerequisite for the pledge of allegiance, such as the respect of the Spiritual Guide. If you end up pledging allegiance to an imposter, who has nothing whatsoever and only tells you to worship a little using the rosary, offer Salat five times a day, respect and serve your parents and then to donate something to him every week. This kind of a pledge of allegiance is being done everywhere, every day.

- The pledge of allegiance to Imam Mehdi will connect you to God. For example, this is the era in which technology is at its peak, for example, you can tell the gender of the baby before its birth through the scanner (ultrasound) and this is what we have done. Although the advent of Imam Mehdi has not yet taken place and His announcement has not yet been made, however, we have looked through the esoteric (spiritual) scanner and identified the Awaited Imam Mehdi.

- When God decides it and sends Gabriel to announce the arrival of Imam Mehdi and Imam Mehdi Himself announces His advent, only then shall the protocol of Imam Mehdi commence.
