Allah Ko Gunahgar Ke Aansoo Kiyon Pasand Hain?

Younus AlGohar's speech elaborating on what it means when we say that God likes the tears of sinners.

Main points:

- The Lower Self of a common person who does not practise spirituality is impure. If he listens to the lecture of the clerics in which they depict the Scene of Death, and then starts crying, these are not the tears that God likes. The tears that God likes of a person are those that are shed during the process of Purgation of the Lower Self. God likes the tears of those who are, at the very least, one who has the Blameworthy Self.

- We think that the Lower Self is the root of all evil and once it is purified, one does not have an excuse or reason to sin. However, many people became saints and then they committed a sin. If someone commits a sin after becoming a saint  he is absolutely shocked. He doesn't understand what happened. He checks his spiritual state and sees that his Lower Self is pure and his desires are pure - he then turns to God and asks how it happened. God replies, 'I like the tears of sinners.' So in this case, they happen to commit the sin and the power behind it is God's. These are known as Predestined Sins.

- There are two types of Predestined Sins. One is the Predestined Sin you commit before being granted a rank; the other is the Predestined Sin you commit after being granted a rank. Predestined Sins are not minor sins. One Predestined Sin is enough to humble your Lower Self for the rest of your life; it is one where you disobey God. When you commit a Predestined Sin, you have no control over yourself; you commit the sin like a robot.

- There are some sins that God makes a person do in order to dismantle his pride - the pride he builds up in himself due to his piety and worship. The pride that develops when you don't sin is cleansed when you commit a Predestined Sin. By making someone commit a Predestined Sin, God wants them to make progress in spirituality and develop humility.

- God does not like just any tears - he only likes the tears shed when one's Lower Self feels blameworthy. If someone comes and cries before a Sufi, the first thing the Sufi does is check his Lower Self. If the Lower Self is feeling blameworthy, then the Sufi will believe the tears, otherwise, he won't. Whether or not your tears are accepted by God depends on the condition of your Lower Self.

- In order the purify the Lower Self, you have to change its diet from negative energy to divine energy. First, you have to weaken it through physical hardship and hunger. Then, once it is weakened, the Spiritual Guide makes a cage of divine energy around the Lower Self, cutting off its supply of negative energy and causing it to go hungry. Once it is starving, the Spiritual Guide offers it divine energy, which it may take simply to survive. The Spiritual Guide tells it to recite the Kalima (Motto of Faith) in order to obtain its new diet of divine energy - this will eventually change the Lower Self from Ammarah (The Commanding Self) to Lawamma (The Blameworthy Self).
