Maula Ali (as) Ne Karbala Mein Madad Kiyon Nahen Farmayi?

Younus AlGohar explains why Moula Ali did not come to rescue Imam Hussain during the Battle of Karbala at the request of a viewer.

Main points:

- When Ameer Muawiya handed over control of the Islamic Sultanate to his son, Yazid, the people of Kufa wrote letters saying that Yazid was a sinner and they would not pledge allegiance to him. 'Pledging allegiance' meant to accept Yazid as the Caliph - it was their equivalent of the voting system we have today. So Imam Hussain sent  Muslim ibn Aqil to Kufa as his representative and take people’s pledge of allegiance on his behalf. 40 000 people joined him. Yazid and his government were watching this closely and feared what they saw as a rebellion. The politicians advised Yazid to get Imam Hussain to pledge allegiance to him in order to quash the ‘rebellion’. On the other hand, the religious scholars Yazid had with him brainwashed him into thinking that he was on the right path as Ameer ul Momineen and that Imam Hussain should pledge allegiance to him.

- Yazid told Ibn Ziyad and the army to forcefully take their pledge of allegiance by threatening and terrorising. But Ibn Ziyad did not threaten or terrorise. He directly declared war against them. Many Muslims of the time were among the hypocrites and Kharijites and they bore grudges against the Prophet's progeny. It is very easy for us to say that Yazid was a terrible man and he is hell-bound now - but back then they were all known as 'Muslims'. When the Prophet's Household was beheaded and their heads were brought to Yazid, Yazid began to play with their heads. And he said, 'God has granted victory to the truth.' This proves he was hell-bound and his hidden agenda was to butcher the Household of Prophet Mohammad all along.

- Now why did this incident take place and why didn't Moula Ali come to help? He did not come to save Imam Hussain because everything that happened in Karbala was done on the orders of God. When Imam Hussain and Imam Hassan were children, Gabriel came and took promises from Prophet Mohammad in regards to them. He brought two outfits from paradise. One was red and Imam Hussain was made to wear it. The other was green and Imam Hassan was made to wear it. So the one who had the wear the green outfit was killed by being poisoned. And the one who wore the red outfit was martyred in Karbala. Imam Hussain's martyrdom is the Zakat (charity) of Rapturous Love of Prophet Mohammad.

- Prophet Mohammad intensely loved Imam Hassan and Imam Hussain - and perhaps in the moments he spent with them, he forgot that he was the Leader of Prophets. Sometimes he would have them ride on his back and let them use his hair like reins. Sometimes they would jump on his shoulders while he was in prostration to God -  and lest they may fall if he raised his head, he would remain in prostration for hours on end. The love was extreme, so God said that it had become too much.

- Similarly, His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, 'If I like somebody, I do not thoroughly look at them. Because whoever I look at properly, God will take that person away.'

- Hurr ibn Riyahi was the commander of Yazid's army who snuck over to Imam Hussain in Karbala and offered to help him escape. He did this for three nights but in the morning, Imam Hussain would see that despite having left under the cover of night, he and his family hadn’t left the battlefield. It was as if they were walking in circles. Then in a dream, Prophet Mohammad came to Imam Hussain and told him that he was to be martyred in Karbala. He told his family the next day and advised them to leave, but they didn’t want to leave him there alone. So they were killed one after the other. In the end, Imam Hussain had 320 sword wounds. And not a single wound was on his back. They were all on the front of his body.

Were Prophet Mohammad’s parents Muslims, disbelievers, or something else? Younus AlGohar responds to statements made by religious clerics Tariq Jameel and Saqib Mustafayi, who made opposing statements on this subject.

Main points:

- According to Tariq Jameel, a Deobandi scholar - God forbid - Prophet Mohammad's parents are disbelievers. Saqib Mustafayi, a Sunni scholar, wrote, 'By the grace of God, Prophet Mohammad's parents were Muslims.' Both gave references to narrations along with their statements.

- Suppose Prophet Mohammad’s parents were disbelievers: so what? Abraham’s father was a polytheist - a disbeliever. Whether Prophet Mohammad's parents had a religion or not, whether they were disbelievers or people of God - how does any of this affect Prophet Mohammad himself? You have developed a double standard in your minds which is based on falsehood. Due to it, you have even more problems with your faith.

- Prophet Mohammad himself mentioned that Abraham was his ancestor. According to the Prophetic Traditions, the greatest form of benedictions is known as the Benedictions of Abraham (Durood-e-Ibrahimi). In it, we send salutations upon the progeny of Prophet Mohammad as well as Abraham and his progeny.

- How could Prophet Mohammad’s parents be Muslims, when Bibi Aminah died in Prophet Mohammad's youth? The truth is that Prophet Mohammad's parents were neither disbelievers nor Muslims. They followed Abraham's religion, Deen-e-Hanif.

- Making comparisons between different spiritual dignitaries is not good. Mother Mary is eminent in her own right. And for Prophet Mohammad's respected mother, the fact that she is Prophet Mohammad's mother is enough in terms of eminence.

- The name ‘Mohammad’ itself means ‘The One Who is Praised’. Before Prophet Mohammad's birth, Gabriel came to visit Bibi Aminah on many occasions. And Gabriel took a seed from the Tree of Light, mixed it in a white liquid and gave it to Bibi Aminah to consume. He told her that God wanted her to give birth to the Leader of Prophets. Bibi Aminah drank the liquid due to which she became pregnant.

- Per God’s policies, the reality of Prophet Mohammad had to be concealed. And in the case of Jesus, it was necessary to tell people that he is not the Son of Man. In both cases, people developed misconceptions.

- It does not suit any Muslim to raise fingers at Prophet Mohammad's respected mother or doubt the religion of Hazrat Abdullah (her husband). If you have any faith, you will lose it by doing this.

Younus AlGohar answers a question from a viewer who asked whether it was necessary to respect the Syeds (Descendants of Prophet Mohammad).

Main points:

- We should respect the Sadaat. However, there is no caste system in Islam. The Sadaat are the Progeny of Prophet Mohammad and the people who are not from the Sadaat are also descendants of a Prophet: Adam the Eminent One. Then whom did God create hellfire for? This is when God’s laws are implemented.

- If God grants someone spiritual immunity and declares them to be part of the Progeny of a Prophet, he makes sure that the person will stand by the Prophet and uphold God’s name. God has a law according to which if someone is given respect on behalf of God then God will make sure that that individual becomes completely worthy of respect.

God said in the Koran 33:33 that he intends to purify the Progeny of Prophet Mohammad of all types of impurity.

- It is well known that Prophet Mohammad included Salman Farsi, a man from Iran, in his Progeny. So this act of Prophet Mohammad proves that it is not necessary to be a blood relative in order to be included in the Progeny of Prophet Mohammad. So then how did Prophet Mohammad include him in his nation? Abdul Qadir Jilani gave the answer when he said, ‘Every Mutakee (Pure One) is part of Prophet Mohammad's Progeny.’

- Prophet Mohammad said during the Last Sermon. He said, 'No Arab is greater than a non-Arab. No non-Arab is inferior to an Arab. According to God, the standard for respect is piety.' The more pious one is, the more respectable he will be in the eyes of God. A Sufi will say that you will only become a Mutakee (Pure One) when you rid your heart and body of the Devil and bring God in.

- His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, 'Take the Opening of the Spiritual Heart (Zikr-e-Qalb). When divine energy enters your bloodstream and reaches every vein in your body, then at that time, you will be at the Station of Divine Energy.’ This is when you are at the same station as the Progeny of Prophet Mohammad.

- Imam Abu Hanifa obtained knowledge from Imam Jafar Sadiq, who was from the Progeny of Prophet Mohammad. And then he surpassed Imam Jafar Sadiq, so much so that he managed to see God himself 99 times. God blessed him and Prophet Mohammad declared him to be the Imam-e-Azam. When Imam Abu Hanifa surpassed the progeny, why don’t you test your fate too?

- Through spirituality and the teachings of His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi, do you have any idea what you could become? His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said that according to a Hadith-e-Qudsi, there comes a point in proximity to God where God becomes yours hands with which you hold things, your legs with which you walk and the tongue with which you will speak. You have the knowledge available through which you can become God and God can become you.

- Bulleh Shah was a Syed who lived about 400 yeas ago. In the era, he went to a saint of God, Inayat Hussain, to learn spirituality. Inayat Hussain was an Arayan. The Syeds in Bulleh Shah's era had nothing, that is why Bulleh Shah bowed his head at the feet of an Arayan. The divine energy the Seeds were born with stayed with them for seven generations, then it diminished. Now there is no difference between a Syed and a common man.

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer who asked for the cure to evil whispers while worshipping.

Main points:

    - In order to test human beings, God has placed the Khannas (Evil Whisperer) two inches below the heart to the left side of the heart. It resembles an elephant in appearance and its trunk is attached to the heart; it continuously expels negative energy from there. When you engage in the invocation of God's name or perform Salat, that is when the Khannas inserts evil whispers in your heart to stop you from walking the path leading to God. There is no remedy to free yourself of evil whispers during Salat in particular. Rather, the cure is to free you of evil whispers.
   
    - If you want to be free of evil whispers, you will have to get rid of the Khannas. The Khannas does not die and does not get purified. When you have an abundance of divine energy in your chest, the Khannas cannot bear the heat of the divine energy, due to which it leaves your body and runs away.

    - When the Khannas leaves your body, in the first instance, it searches for women who are involved in vices such as backbiting, gossiping and mischief-mongering. When it finds such a woman, it settles in her chest. There are some women with 20-30 Khannas in their chests. Those who have more than one Khannas in them don't have evil whispers - rather, their entire mindset becomes Satanic. If such people go to Kaaba or a mosque, it will only be for Satanic purposes. If an individual sits with such a person, he too will begin to suffer from evil thoughts.

    - Even after you manage to get rid of your Khannas, you still get evil whispers. The Satan himself comes and whispers in your left ear. There is no cure to getting rid of the voice of the Satan that you hear in the left ear; not even Saints have the cure. One time, Prophet Mohammad was reciting the Koran and paused for a few moments; during that pause, the Satan whispered in the Companions' ears, praising idols. The Companions thought it was Prophet Mohammad who had been speaking. This is how great of an expert the Satan is at inserting evil whispers.

Younus AlGohar explains the spiritual process involved in the transmission of thoughts into words. He shows how spiritual benevolence is rendered from saints of God when they speak. He reveals how corruption in the heart affects the words uttered by the tongue in terms of spirituality.

Main points:

    - When you listen to a saint speak, you will acquire both knowledge and spiritual benevolence. Whereas a religious scholar will only give you knowledge. HDE Gohar Shahi said that the saints who are Majzoob render benevolence by swearing at people and hitting them with sticks.

    - All your thoughts are stored in your mind. Since the thought has to eventually be verbalised by the tongue, it comes through the proper channels. Before the thought can reach your tongue, it travels from your brain to your heart. If your heart has divine energy in it, the divine energy will be mixed with the thought. It will then travel from the heart to the Sirri, from the Sirri to the Akhfah and from the Akhfah to the tongue.

    - Whether a saint of God is talking about the Koran and Prophetic Traditions or expressing his own thoughts, you will benefit spiritually from listening to him. This is because everything he says has divine energy mixed with it owing to the spiritual process whereby all thoughts pass through his enlightened heart. Even if he gets cross with you and swears at you, the swear words have divine energy mixed with them when they passed through his heart - so they still render you spiritual benevolence. This is how a Mazjoob's words render spiritual benevolence to people.

    - Those whose hearts are dark and filled with corruption, even if they are scholars of the Koran, when the knowledge travels from their brain to the heart, the corruption of the heart will mixed in. By the time it reaches the tongue, it shall become mischief.

Prophet Mohammad said, 'True scholars are those who shall receive spiritual benevolence from my chest.'

Prophet Mohammad said, 'Beware of the ignorant scholar.' People asked, 'How can they be scholars and ignorant at the same time, O' Messenger of God?' Prophet Mohammad replied, 'They are scholars by the tongue but their hearts are ignorant, meaning black.'

    - A person who is a scholar by the tongue only and their heart is black, when the knowledge passes through their heart, the darkness and corruption of the heart will be mixed with the knowledge. And that knowledge will become a cause for mischief when uttered by the tongue. When religious scholars with corruption in their hearts began to recite the Koran and Prophetic Traditions, the corruption was mixed into their words, causing mischief and leading to sectarianism.

Wahdat Al Wajood Aur Wahdat Al Shahood

Younus AlGohar explains the difference between two philosophies in Sufism, Wahdat al Wajood (Unification in Existence) and Wahdat al Shahood (Unification in Witnessing).

Main points:

    - Wahdat al Wajood and Wahdat al Shahood do not have anything to do with Sharia.

    - Wahdat al Wajood is the tenet that all existence comes from God. In plain words, it involves the divine energy of the names of God's Attributes (Sifaat). This is the tenet of the saints who receive the benevolence of the names of God's attributes. God created the universe with the divine energy of his attributes.

God said in the Koran 24:35, 'God is the light of the heavens and the earth.'
   
    - Whatever you see on Earth and in the skies is related to the various attributes of God. Therefore when this type of divine energy enters saints, they are able to see it all around them among the creation of God. For example, they will see a spark of divine energy in mothers owing to the fact that God has given them the attribute of motherly love (which relates to his mercy). They look at mountains and see the expression of God's attribute 'Rehman'. 

    - Wahdat al Shahood relates to experience; becoming an eyewitness of the divine splendour. This philosophy relates to the divine energy of God's Personal Name. When you have the divine energy of God's Personal Name in you, you will close your eyes and look for that divine energy in the world and all you will see is darkness. God only granted the divine energy relating to his personal being to one prophet: Prophet Mohammad. Wahdat al Shahood is established when a person receives the benevolence of the Personal Name of God and manages to eventually reach the higher realms to witness the divine splendour.

    - Both Wahdat al Wajood and Wahdat al Shahood are correct in their own right. If you ask what group I, myself, belong to, I will say Wahdat al Shahood.

    - Among the Wahdat al Wajood saints, the disciples see divine energy in their Spiritual Guide, so they consider the Spiritual Guide to be the Lord. It is the disciples in Wahdat al Wajood who perform Sajda-e-Tazeemi (Prostration Out of Respect) to their Spiritual Guide - this is permissible in Tariqat, but not in Sharia. The practice of Tassawur-e-Sheikh (Visualisation of the Spiritual Guide) is carried out in the circles of Wahdat al Wajood as well. His Divine Eminence Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi introduced us to God's personal divine energy, therefore HDE Gohar Shahi never had people engage in Tassawur-e-Sheikh.

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer's question about the concept of the third eye in spirituality and whether or not the Spiritual Heart has eyes.

    - The Spiritual Heart does not have eyes. His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi likens it to a telephone operator between man and God; it is a spiritual means of communication. It does not have sight.

    - After the revival of the subtlety known as Sirri, a person is able to see things in the world that haven't yet happened. If you want to call this 'The Third Eye', you can. However, it is not actually an 'eye', rather a type of sight.

    - The eye is an organ whereas the ability to see is the sight. So you need the sight, not the organ.

Younus AlGohar answers in detail a question from a viewer who wanted to know what the punishment for apostasy is in Islam and whether Islam allows Muslims to kill those accused of blasphemy.

Main points:

   - When Prophet Mohammad was sent, the spiritual systems in Christianity and Judaism were no longer intact. When the spiritual system in religion is destroyed for any reason, even if the religion is practised, it is mal-practised. This is because acceptance of your worship is subject to the presence of the heart in the worship, which is only obtained through spiritual knowledge. When there is nobody who can awaken and enlighten your heart, any form of worship you perform becomes dubious and subject to a lot of divine scrutinies. So in Prophet Mohammad's era, it was only through him that one could be connected to God; no other religion besides Islam could connect one to God at that time. So in that era, if someone renounced Islam for another religion, they would be hell-bound.
   
    - It was not possible for someone to sincerely join Islam in the era of Prophet Mohammad and not be blessed; therefore they would never feel the need to renounce the religion. However, those who joined the ranks of the Muslims with a hidden agenda - for example, to spy on the Muslims - they would later 'renounce' Islam to go back to the enemies of Islam. Therefore in order to protect the religion, it was necessary to punish such people with death, otherwise, they would weaken the roots of the religion.
   
    - However, today, Muslims are in the same state as the Christians and Jews in Prophet Mohammad's era. Now Apostasy Law does not apply because people are divided into sects - they are not members of Prophet Mohammad's nation in the eyes of Prophet Mohammad and God. In the eyes of God and Prophet Mohammad, a true member of Prophet Mohammad's nation has God's name inscribed upon his heart and he loves Prophet Mohammad more than anyone else in the world.

'Obtain Shahr-e-Sadr (Opening of the Chest) for Islam.' - Koran 39:22

    - How many sects of Islam follow the above-mentioned verse of the Koran practically? If the religious scholars understood it, then why don't they dispense the knowledge of Shahr-e-Sadr? A true Sufi is one in whose company people's hearts are revived with God's name. Today, religious scholars mock the concept of Zikr-e-Qalb (Opening of the Spiritual Heart) in stark contrast to what the Koran says.

'Do not follow those who I have kept heedless of my Zikr (invocation).' - Koran 18:28

'Enter Islam completely.' - Koran 2:208

'O Son of Adam, there is a piece of flesh in your body. If it is reformed, the entire body is reformed. If it is corrupted, the entire body is corrupted. Remember well: it is your heart.' - Prophet Mohammad


    - When God has directly forbidden following such people, then how could those people revive others' hearts with God's name? The religious scholars were supposed to take people from Sharia into Tariqat (spirituality); however, they turned the seekers of the religion towards politics instead. Whoever wants to punish those who renounce Islam should first ask himself, 'Am I even in Islam myself?' If people had entered Islam, they would not be divided into sects. In Prophet Mohammad's Islam, first the hearts were taught to invoke upon God and then they were taught to perform Salat; this is why, unlike today's Muslim, their Salat would reach God.

    - Blasphemy laws in Pakistan are used for personal vendettas. Salman Taseer was wrongly killed by his bodyguard, Mumtaz Qadri, who was incited by the religious cleric, Khadim Hussain Rizvi. There are many cases where people were brutally murdered just because they were falsely accused of blasphemy. Salman Taseer did not commit blasphemy of Prophet Mohammad; he called for the reformation of Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan and he was right to do so because it was used to persecute, kill and defame innocent people. You cannot take the law into your own hands; if someone had actually committed blasphemy, then a case should have been made with all the evidence and then it would be tried in court. If the court then awarded punishment, it would be justified.

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer's question about dreams. Why do we dream and how do we differentiate between truthful dreams and false ones?

Main points:

- Through dreams, God shows those who do not have access to their fate what is written in their future. People who cannot physically meet spiritual dignitaries like prophets, messengers and saints - either due to not living in their eras or not having the spiritual power to see them - may meet them in their dreams. If one is on the spiritual path then the spiritual messages from the Spiritual Guide will be received through dreams. Since dreams are used as a divine instrument for good purposes, therefore, the Devil also makes use of dreams; he will show you false dreams to lead you astray.

- The dreams of prophets and messengers are all true. Sainthood is 40% of Prophethood; therefore 40% of the dreams they see are truthful and 60% are false. However, the saints possess the spiritual knowledge through which they can differentiate the truthful dreams from the false ones.

- A common man is not equipped with the knowledge through which he could recognise his dreams. Therefore, rather than interpreting his own dreams himself, he should seek out a man of God who can interpret his dreams for him. A common person cannot tell what message is being conveyed in his dreams from God - or whether or not it is actually a message from God.

- Many human beings have been misguided by their dreams. People who become religious end up having very dangerous dreams. Religious clerics lack knowledge and understanding of the Prophetic Traditions, hence they quote one Prophetic Tradition in particular when it comes to dreams.

Prophet Mohammad said, 'Whoever sees me in his dream has actually seen me because the Devil cannot adopt my appearance.'

- So now if anyone sees somebody in their dream who claims to be Prophet Mohammad,  they develop a strong conjecture that the one who came in their dream was actually Prophet Mohammad. Now due to this misunderstanding, many great scholars were misguided. For example, Ashraf Ali Thanvi who believed in a false dream in which he saw himself, God forbid, saving Prophet Mohammad from falling on the Straight Path.

Sab Se Bara Shirk Kya Hai?

What is the worst form of Shirk (Polytheism) according to God? Younus AlGohar explains in light of the Koran.

Main points:

God says in the Koran 25:43, 'O' Messenger of God, have you not seen those who have made the desires of the Lower Self as their Creator?'

    - The greatest form of Shirk is arrogance; it is to practically worship your own Lower Self.

'One who manages to purify the Lower Self is successful.' (Koran 87:14)

    - Until the Lower Self is purified, God will pay you no heed. The enlightenment of the Spiritual Heart and the purgation of the Lower Self hold the same status in the application of God's love as a letter from your employer and bank statements do when you apply for a visa. If you do not have these things when you send in your visa application, it will always be rejected even if you apply 1000 times.

Similarly, if you pray to God and ask for his love without purification of the Lower Self and enlightenment of the Spiritual Heart, God will become upset with you. God will say, 'What a foolish man! First become capable of seeking my love.' To be able to request God for his love, first, you have to fulfil the aforementioned prerequisites. If you do not have these things in your possession, do not ask for the love of God. Those who claimed to love God without fulfilling these conditions either became Sunni, Shiite or Wahhabi.

Younus AlGohar's explanation of the difference between Messenger-hood and Prophethood and how Prophet Mohammad fulfilled his roles as both a Prophet and a Messenger.

Main points:

    - A Messenger received Wahi (divine revelation) from God through which he establishes a complete religion; it is the name of the Messenger of a religion which is included in the Motto of Faith. After the demise of the Messenger, when the religion he established falls subject to modifications at a certain point. Then God sends down a prophet in order to reform the religion. A prophet also receives divine revelations from God called 'Sahifa' through which he reforms the modifications made in the religion. A prophet does not have his own Motto of Faith; he reforms the religion of the Messenger before him.


    - The termination of Prophethood, not Messenger-hood, was announced. The religious clerics have instilled it into the minds of Muslims that if someone is a prophet, it means he has a Motto of Faith and he will establish a new religion. Whereas the job of a prophet is to reform the religion, not establish a new one. The Finality of Prophethood denotes the discontinuation of the rank of Prophethood, but not the discontinuation of the job prophets would do - that of reforming the religion. So then who will reform the modifications made in the religion now?

    - Prophet Mohammad is the Last Messenger and the Last Prophet. He established the religion of Islam in the capacity of his Messenger-hood. And as a Prophet, he reformed the adulterations made to the religions of Jews, the fire-worshippers, the star-worshippers and Christians. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) did not serve the religion of Islam in the capacity of his Prophethood. After Prophet Mohammad left, Prophethood ended; so the job of reforming any modifications made to Islam was given to the True Scholars in the religion.

    - For the reformation of the previous religions, the verses that were revealed upon Prophet Mohammad are still present in the Koran today, for example, Koran 2:62.

'It makes no difference whether you are a Muslim, Jew, Christian, fire-worshipper or star-worshipper. As long as you have belief in three things, your status in the eyes of God will be like that of saints. You will neither have fear nor regret for anything and you will enter paradise.' - Koran 2:62


    - Prophet Mohammad was the only prophet to do repair work in multiple religions. Simultaneously, Prophet Mohammad repaired and renewed the Jews' religion and he also renewed the Christians', Sabians' and Hindus' religions. He absolutely did. His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, 'Prophet Mohammad instructed his daughter, Bibi Fatima, to go and renew the Hindu religion once again.' As a Prophet, God had given Prophet Mohammad the responsibility of amending other religions; so Prophet Mohammad appointed Bibi Fatima to bless Hindus. They know her by 'Durga Maa' and 'Parvati'. When a group of Hindus came to meet His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi, HDE Gohar Shahi warmly welcomed them and told them 'There is just a slight difference between you and Muslims. The Muslims received the benevolence of ALM whereas you, the Hindus, were given benevolence from a mixture of ALM and ALR.' The benevolence HDE Gohar Shahi mentioned here was rendered to them by Bibi Fatima.

The Koran 33:49 says, 'Prophet Mohammad is not the father of any man. He is the last of the Prophets.'


Prophet Mohammad, being the last reformer for all religions, had rights upon all religions and their followers. He could marry anyone whether they were Jews, Christians, etc. without having them recite the marriage vows the Muslim way.

Jism Aur Rouh Se Ibadat Kesay Kartay Hain?

At the request of a viewer, Younus AlGohar explains the true meaning of Aboodiyat (servitude) and Ibadat (worship) in light of the Koran.

Main points:

'I created Jinns and human beings for my Aboodiyat (servitude).' - Koran 51:56

 - Ibadat (worship with the body and soul) is part of servitude to God. Generally, the word used for worship, 'Ibadat', is used incorrectly. In Urdu, the word one should use for worship is 'Bandagi', not 'Ibadat'.

 - Ibadat comes is derived from Aboodiyat. The word 'Abd' is used to refer to the combination of a man's inner and outer being; his body and his soul together. For example, Prophet Mohammad is called 'Abdahu' (Man of God) and 'Rasoolahu' (Messenger of God). 'Abdahu' means one whose body and inner faculties both come under the control of God.

This word group is used by the Devil when he says in Koran 38:82, 'I swear by your honour, I will kidnap all for except those who are yours.'

 - One whose body and soul - outer and inner - become completely obedient to God will be called 'Abd'. Until your outer and inner become completely obedient to God, you will not be at the rank of Aboodiyat (servitude).
   
'Salat is invalid without the presence of the Spiritual Heart.' - Prophetic Tradition

 - Your worship qualifies to be known as 'Ibadat' when your body and soul both are engaged in the worship of God together. The word 'Ibadat' means that you are present in the court of God inwardly and outwardly; physically and spiritually.

 - Some types of worship are built-in: for example, as soon as you revive your inner faculties, they engage in the invocation of God's name and you do not have to teach them. And then there are some rituals of worship which, initially, you have to perform with your body. When your soul is newly revived, it does not have the ability to sit, stand or prostrate. So initially, you have to perform the worship physically until the soul is capable of doing it on its own.

 - Once your soul is capable of performing worship independently, you are not required to perform the worship physically. However, people who reach this stage and are appointed as Spiritual Guides must engage in worship in front of people. Otherwise, people will question as to why they instruct people to offer Salat but don't do it themselves.

 - So how should you worship? When you worship, make sure your body, soul and Spiritual Heart are engaged in worship. For that is when your worship will reach the rank of Aboodiyat (servitude) and will be accepted by God. And if you are reciting the Koran and performing Salat verbally only, and your soul and Spiritual Heart are not involved, then neither will you reach the rank of servitude nor will your worship be accepted by God. It won't even be worthy of being called worship.

- There is nothing wrong with celebrating your birthday. The notion that celebrating your birthday is Haram is from ignorant religious scholars who have placed unnecessary restrictions upon everything in life.

Kya Iblees Ne Waqai Na Farmani Ki Thi?

Did the Devil (Iblees/Azazeel) actually disobey God - and why will he obtain salvation having prostrated before Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi? Younus AlGohar's answer to this question may surprise you!

- Iblees/Azazeel (The Devil) is not to be confused with satans. God created satans for hellfire, but Iblees is a great worshipper of God. He worshipped God from all corners of the Earth. Just as security measures are put in place to ensure no money is stolen from ATMs, in a similar way, God has his own system of security and he has appointed Iblees as a security guard. This is to ensure that only those who are fated to have faith may be able to attain it.

'O' Lord, I swear upon your honour that I will kidnap them all for except those who are Mukhlaseen (the Sincere Ones).' - Koran 38:82

- Had Iblees been a satan, he would never have addressed God with the respect he demonstrated in the above-mentioned verse of the Koran. So Iblees will not bother those who belong to God; he cannot misguide them. He will confuse the ungodly souls and not allow them to come onto the [path taking them towards God].

'And when the Archangels were commanded to prostrate before Adam, all prostrated for except Iblees.' - Koran 17:61

- Iblees did not disobey God when he refused to prostrate before Adam the Eminent One. The Archangels were the ones who were told to prostrate, whereas Iblees is not an Archangel. He is from the Nation of Jinns.

- In the end, Iblees said, 'Adam the Eminent One is the First Caliph and Imam Mehdi is the Last Caliph. And nobody greater than Him has ever come so I will prostrate myself in His feet.' So the sin he committed, that of not prostrating in Adam's feet, will be forgiven. And it will be forgiven because the Spiritual Heart (Qalb) of Adam the Eminent One will be in Imam Mehdi.

Does Zakat apply in modern times? Is Zakat meant to be used for the needy? How do you benefit by giving Zakat? Younus AlGohar answers all this and more in this informative video.

Main points:

- Zakat is a system in the religion through which the treasury of the Islamic Sultanate would be strengthened. Zakat would be collected in the treasury and it would be used to fund the government's work as well as help the needy. Zakat is just like taxes in western countries.

- Islam is a complete lifestyle, a Deen that encompasses all aspects of life. Islam means you live your life according to the principles set forth by Prophet Mohammad. It teaches you how to establish a connection with Prophet Mohammad and God, worshipping, living your life among your fellowmen, etc.

- Now if you either went to live in England, Canada, America or Australia and you are a Muslim,  since you don't even know Islam, you will not only pay Zakat but also the government tax for the country; you will end up paying double. The tax you're paying in western countries is actually a lot more than the Zakat you would have to pay. You are not living in a non-Muslim country and the society is not Islamic, therefore, those laws do not apply. You are not in an Islamic republic, therefore, the financial aspect of Islam was also impractical.

 - In Islam, you give Zakat once a year; but the government takes taxes every month. They deduct a large per cent of the money from the salaries of people working in the country and also charge 20% tax on all groceries and other household goods. Thanks to the vigorous tax-collecting on the part of the government, people are left living hand-to-mouth.

- And keep another thing in mind: why is Zakat given in the first place? The benefit of giving Zakat is that your wealth will become pure. However, if your wealth was unlawfully earned in the first place, then it will never become pure. What is unlawful will remain to be unlawful.

Sūrah Al Humazah Ki Batni Tashreeh

Younus AlGohar’s comprehensive explanation of Koran 104:1-5 (Chapter Humazah) and who it applies to.

‘Destruction upon the slanderer and backbiter. That person will continue to gather his wealth. He thinks that the wealth he has collected will remain with him forever. We will throw all such people into the hellfire the name of which is Hutamah. And what do you know of what Hutamah is?’ - Koran 104:1-5

Main points:

- God says here that the people who are slanderers and backbiters will be destroyed. It is not just a reference to their afterlife, but also their physical life. We understand the destruction of physical life to either be in the form of a major loss in monetary wealth or a severe loss in physical health. But the Koran 104:2 mentions that the people who will be destroyed spend their time collecting wealth - which means that they will not be affected monetarily. If a person has pain anywhere in his body, he manages to bear it. However, if he loses his mental health, his entire personality is destroyed.

- When destruction falls upon a person's character, then they also lose their sanity. They lose all rationality, sanity, empathy and pity. For example, religious extremists involved in bomb blasts do not feel the pain of their victims. Once God has become upset with a person, none of his religious acts are accepted by God. And then after that, his spiritual, mental and physical state also change.

- According to what is written in this verse about Hutamah, God made the hellfire of Hutamah for those people involved in the vices of slandering and backbiting. And the fire of Hutamah burns the hearts of human beings. They will spend all their years burning in that fire which burns hearts.

- When a person's heart is enlightened, his actions, deeds and mental state are all set right. And when filth enters one's heart, then they suffer from mental illnesses. After a thorough investigation, I came to know that mental illnesses are not actually to do with the mind; they are esoteric diseases.

Sajda e Tazeem Kiyon Mamnoo Howa?

Younus AlGohar's answer to a viewer who asked him to discuss why people visit the shrines of various saints even though Prophet Mohammad instructed people not to visit graves after his demise and to only seek help from God.

Main points:

 - Firstly it has to be determined why a person visits a shrine and what his intentions are for going there. Obviously, prostration is only for God and this is well understood among Muslims. However, those who begrudge the saints tend to exaggerate what the visitors at the shrines of saints do. Visiting the shrines is not wrong.

 -  There are two types of prostrations. One is Sajda-e-Raboobiyat in which one prostrates before the Creator. The other is Sajda-e-Tazeemi (Prostration of Respect) which has been performed to saints, Prophets and Messengers. God commanded the Archangels to prostrate before Adam the Eminent One; this was not Sajda-e-Raboobiyat, it was Sajda-e-Tazeemi. This means that Sajda-e-Tazeemi is a custom given by God. Therefore, the prophets and messengers all allowed it.

 - Sharia is not the complete Islam, it is only a part of Islam. When Prophet Mohammad noticed that the way the nation of Bani Israel had exploited the Prostration of Respect, to be on the safe side, he declared the Prostration of Respect to be forbidden in his Sharia. The Jews and Christians of the Arab peninsula had developed a custom of worshipping shrines. Had Prophet Mohammad not declared it to be prohibited, then this custom the nation of Bani Israel would have become a part of Islam.

 - There were many reasons why Prophet Mohammad forbade the Prostration of Respect in his Sharia. One reason is that the Arab nation was incredibly arrogant and ignorant; the leaders of every tribe would have had their people prostrate to them. The Arab nation relished being praised and worshipped; they would write poetry praising themselves and their own ancestors. So Prophet Mohammad's reason for forbidding the Prostration of Respect was to prevent the emergence of a wrong custom.

 - There are many things in Islam which pre-existed Islam. For example, Hajj: the circumambulation of the Kaaba and the reverence of the Holy Black Stone. In the same way, Sajda-e-Tazeemi (The Prostration of Respect) is an act that predates Islam. There was no problem with Hajj or reverence of the Holy Black Stone, so Prophet Mohammad allowed those practices to continue as part of Islam. However, when Prophet Mohammad saw the dangers with the Prostration of Respect, he forbade it in part.
   
 -  Different movies have age restrictions such as Universal (suitable for all audiences), 12+ (people of 12 years of age or older may watch it), 15+ (15-year-olds and older may watch it) and 18+ (18-year-olds or older may watch it). The films with age restrictions are forbidden, in part; they are forbidden for the people who are too young to watch them. Similarly, the Prostration of Respect was forbidden in Sharia, but it is permissible for the people who progress from Sharia to Tariqa (spirituality). This is because after entering spirituality, whoever they prostrate before will have the presence of God in them. The practitioners of spirituality have the Lord in them, therefore, they have permission to perform the Prostration of Respect. The Lord is not to be found in the practitioners of Sharia, which is why the Prostration of Respect is not allowed for them. So if somebody prostrates before a shrine of saints like Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Baba Farid or Abdul Qadir Jilani, they are actually prostrating before the Lord, not a shrine.

Dunya Ka Sab Se Taqatwar Taweez

Younus AlGohar's beautiful answer to a viewer who asked permission to write Taweez (amulets).

Main points:

- People in Pakistan suffer from superstition. They appear to be Devout Believers, but practically, it is another story. When they experience a minor business loss, they blame black magic; they visit different 'Babas' who write them amulets claiming to nullify the negative effects. However, the Surah Wannas of the Koran was revealed to nullify magic when the Kuffar of Mecca cast magic upon Prophet Mohammad. God's word is the most powerful word - but how many Muslims today know that the cure to any ill-effects of magic is to be found in the Koran? so instead, they visit different Babas. What has happened to their tenets and faith?

- The only amulet we talk about is the amulet written upon your heart. That amulet is one that will benefit you in this life, in the grave and even on the Day of Judgement. When you die and you are in the grave, show the angels God's Personal Name etched beautifully upon your heart. Having seen this, as His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi says, 'They will not have the courage to ask you another question.' The grandeur of the amulet of the heart is mentioned in the Koran.

'We have written faith upon their hearts.' - Koran 58:22

- God only grants permission to make the amulet of the heart to some people. We only believe in one type of amulet, in which the heart becomes the canvas and God's light becomes the pen. When God's Personal Name has been etched upon the heart, then call all the magicians to try and cast magic on you. If the word 'Allah' is written upon your heart, that is it. Now you are a man of God.

- When God sends a saint as a Spiritual Guide into the world, the saint trains his disciples in austerity and piety. If God wants to test how pious the disciples have become, he calls the Devil. He gives the Devil a letter of permission. The Devil takes the letter of permission from God to the Spiritual Guide. The Spiritual Guide chooses a period of time in which the Devil may test his disciple - it may be anywhere from one hour to 24 hours to one week to two months. The time period is chosen by the Spiritual Guide. During the period of testing, the Spiritual Guide uses different ways to look out for his disciple - for example, he may ask the disciple to stay at his home.

- The Devil is not a troublemaker. He is a servant of God. He cannot misguide whoever he wants. God has appointed him to sift out the hell-bound souls. Every human being has a good side and a bad side. Similarly, when God separated his anger from his personality, it became the Devil. Prophet Mohammad is God's positive side and the Devil is the negative side.
