#AskYounusAlGohar - What is the importance of Eid Milad un Nabi in accordance with Sharia?

HH Younus AlGohar explains how the double-standards introduced in Islam ruined the concept of celebrating Prophet Mohammad's birthday.

- Prophet Mohammad did not celebrate his birthday, at least it is not on record. It would be a custom of the prophet if

- Celebrating the prophet's birthday is a natural thing; you should celebrate out of happiness. There are many things that are not related to the religion but they come under the feelings and love of a follower.

- It's not like Eid Milad un Nabi comes under the pillars of Islam, like the Salat is made obligatory. When you celebrate the prophet's birthday, it should look like a celebration of happiness, not another reason to party.

- If you include un-Islamic aspects into anything, it automatically goes against Sharia. However, if you are speaking about the unmatchable character of the prophet, the mannerism, the teachings and love of the prophet; if you are speaking on how to obtain the love of Prophet Mohammad then there is nothing better than this.

Leafleting in Haji Ali Dargah, Mumbai

In celebration of the upcoming event Eid Milad Un Nabi (festival of the birth of Prophet Mohammed), delegates from Mehdi Foundation India visited the Haji Ali Dargah (mausoleum) located in the Southern part of Mumbai on the 29th of December, 2014. The dargah is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Mumbai. People from all over India travel to obtain blessings and recieve benefits from the mausoleum. Our team worked tirelessly all day raising awareness of the Awaited One, HDE Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi. Many followers appreciated our message and wanted to learn more. The divine signs on the Moon, Sun and Holy Black Stone were also pointed out to aspirants.
