Toheen-e-Risalat Aur Ulema Ka Fassad

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer's question about the Blasphemy Law in Pakistan.

Main Points: - The most important thing to understand is that a Muslim who recites the Declaration of Faith and respects Prophet Mohammad will never blaspheme against the Prophet. No follower of any religion would blaspheme against their own prophet. However, the level of respect for Prophet Mohammad does differ from each sect in Islam and this is the main reason why problems arise.

 - Blasphemy cases are only filed against Sufis. If you pay close attention, you will come to know that Wahhabis and Deobandis are never charged with the blasphemy law. If somebody from the Wahhabi sect is accused of blasphemy, the religious scholars say that it was a mistake and God will forgive him; the same is never said about a non-Wahhabi Muslim.

- If somebody has committed blasphemy against Prophet Mohammad, the religion of Islam does not allow the public to take the law into its hands. The judiciary must assess the case, check the evidence and witness' statements in order to determine whether blasphemy was committed or not.

- Unfortunately, in Pakistan currently, not only do the religious scholars force the police to file a blasphemy case against their victims; even before it reaches the court, they kill the accused but also the common public uses the blasphemy law for their personal vendettas as well.

Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Kiya Hai?

Main Points:

-- The Koran mentions Sirat-e-Mustaqeem in the very beginning, however, what it is in itself is not explained. Sirat-e-Mustaqeem is not an action you carry out in order to obtain it. Sirat-e-Mustaqeem in actuality is the obedience of your Spiritual Guide.

- Wahhabis and Deobandis try to misguide people by saying the verse in Koran which mentions Sirat-e-Mustaqeem means that one should not ask prophets or saints for help because God is enough for them. However, HDE Gohar Shahi gave the true explanation: You cannot obtain guidance without God's help and God's help comes in the form of saints and spiritual dignitaries.

- God has created mankind for the purpose of his worship. People are already engaged in worship so why is it that their worship will be thrown back in their faces? Why is their worship not guaranteeing them entrance to Paradise? So, which worship has God created us for? It is not the physical worship you carry out with your body. Your body is not your reality, it is your soul.

- It is the soul which is supposed to engage in worship in order to fulfil the type of worship we were created for. How does one engage the souls in worship? With the help of God which comes in the form of Spiritual Dignitaries, they are able to access our souls, enlighten them, and connect them to God. It is for such people it is said 'Follow the path of those whom God has rewarded'.

- God's reward does not come in the form of wealth, it is reaching the station of Seeing God. Those who have seen God and his image has been stamped on their heart, sitting in their company will enlighten your heart and the Divine Light that is generated within the heart travels towards God, another rope of Divine Light travels towards your heart from God and the point where the two ropes join together is Sirat-e-Mustaqeem.

When does Ramadan Really Begin?

We at Mehdi Foundation International wish you a joyous and blessed Ramadan (the Islamic holy month of fasting). With Ramadan fast-approaching, His Holiness Younus AlGohar delivers a special message for Muslims and offers key advice on how to ensure Ramadan begins on the most accurate date.

It is said that the beginning of Ramadan and Eid are determined by checking whether the Moon can be seen. However, this only applies for the city of Mecca, not outside it.

The centre of the Earth is Mecca, Saudi Arabia. When the Moon appears above the centre of the Earth, over the Kaaba, that is the correct time to begin Ramadan.
Our time zones used to be measured according to Greenwich Mean Time (in London, UK). For example, we would say that a time zone is four hours ahead of GMT, five hours behind it, etc. However, now we use UTC to measure time.

Similarly, once the Moon is sighted in Mecca above the Kaaba, that is when you start fasting. If you determine your fast according to this, you will never miss out on important days like Laila Tul Qadr or Eid. If you look at the Moon in the areas where the time zones are ahead of Mecca, that is wrong. No matter where you live, you must go according to whether the Moon is sighted in Mecca.

Hazrat Abu Talib Ki Asal Azmat

New Video: Hazrat Abu Talib Ki Asal Azmat | by Younus AlGohar

Younus AlGohar answers a question from a viewer who asked, ‘Do you think that Abu Talib, Ali’s father, was a Muslim?’

Main points:

- Islam is granted by Prophet Mohammad. Hazrat Abu Talib did not take anything from Prophet Mohammad. He only gave. He supported Prophet Mohammad from his childhood all the way until the end. His rank would be unlike any Momin’s (true believer), saint’s or prophet’s.

- Hazrat Abu Talib stood up for Prophet Mohammad and fought for him despite the opposition he faced. God doesn’t accept anyone’s favours; if anyone does a favour upon him God always rewards it. Nevertheless, in Prophet Mohammad’s life, there were two people who were his support: Khadija tul Kubra and Abu Talib. Abu Talib has done a favour upon Prophet Mohammad, and it is God who will return the favour.

- People take the names of certain individuals, such as Ali, out of greed. Abu Talib, without wanting anything in return, gave his everything for Prophet Mohammad. Abu Talib helped Mohammad, not Mohammad the Messenger of God.

- When Prophet Mohammad told Abu Talib to recite the Kalima and become a Muslim, he said, ‘No it’s ok.’ This shows that he helped Prophet Mohammad and made the world his enemy not because of Mohammad’s prophethood but because of Mohammad. Abu Talib’s love for Prophet Mohammad is unconditional.
