Kiya Taraweeh Sunnat-e-Rasool Hai?

Is taraweeh a part of the custom of Prophet Mohammad? Younus AlGohar clears popular misconceptions about offering tarawih prayers.

Main points:

- Many scholars think that a common man is obligated to pray five times a day and, God forbid, Prophet Mohammad is obligated to pray six times. They say the sixth prayer is the night (voluntary) prayer. So Prophet Mohammad would regularly recite the tahajjud prayer.

- Some scholars say that there was no such thing as ‘tarawih’ and that people would only offer the tahajjud prayers during Ramadan. But because there were long chapters in it, so they would sit down to catch their breath and then stand to offer it again. Sitting down is called ‘tarwiyah’ in Arabic. So their act of sitting down or ‘tarwiyah’ -  pluralised into ‘tarawih’ - means that they would offer the Salat while sitting down.

- One group which consists of Wahhabis and Deobandis says that Prophet Mohammad never recited tarawih. And another group of scholars say that tarawih is a custom of Prophet Mohammad (saw), sometimes 8 rakat and sometimes 12 rakat and sometimes 20.  There was no fixed number.

- His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi verified that He would offer the tarawih prayers along with Prophet Mohammad in the gathering of Prophet Mohammad. This is proof that not only is tarawih a custom of Prophet Mohammad but also a custom of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi. Therefore, those who rebuff the importance of tarawih are liars and they are spreading mischief in the religion.

- The saints and spiritual dignitaries are different to common human beings and clerics of the religion. If they revealed a secret which was out of their power and authority to common human beings, they would not be able to follow through with it.

- Another reason for the secrecy is that many things would be against the Sharia (religious law) and if it is revealed then people would conspire against the saint. Which is why the saints would seal their lips as Divine Wisdom.

- There is no need for us to use Divine Wisdom to keep the spiritual secrets a secret; the world needs to know. And His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi's principle concern is to make sure the hearts of humanity become enlightened.

Tum Islam Mein Ho, Kiya Islam Tum Mein Hai

Younus AlGohar comprehensively examines the current Muslim’s broken faith.

- The first pillar of Islam is the Kalima (Declaration of Faith). You must declare it with the tongue and you step onto the threshold of Islam. To enter into Islam, the Kalima must enter your heart. The problem is, you are in Islam but Islam is not within you.

Namaz Ki Adayegi Aur Us Ka Maqsad

Salat is the command of God, but what is the reason behind this command? What is the actual purpose of Salat? Find out in His Holiness Younus AlGohar’s detailed lecture.

Main Points:

- Spiritual knowledge mentioned in the Koran is actually for the entire humanity, not only for Muslims. Every single person is supposed to follow the Koran and adopt its spiritual teachings into their lives. The subject of the Koran is ‘Insan’ (Mankind); it does not mention which group of human beings.

- Koran: Salat refrains one from committing bad deeds. Therefore, Salat works as a medicine which stops people from immoral, immodest and wrong deeds as it washes away the sins; performing Salat 5 times a day became obligatory upon people. Then why is the world wrought with evil? This is because this knowledge is incomplete.

- Which Salat refrains one from the committance of bad deeds? Salat was made obligatory upon Momineen (enlightened believers). Declaration of the Kalima (declaration of faith) by tongue and verification of the heart: when the Divine Light of the Kalima enters the heart and awakens it, you become a Momin; Salat is made obligatory upon you and thereafter you generate Divine Light in your heart every time you offer Salat. Then, Divine Light stops you from committing bad deeds.

- Although all the different sects in Islam recite the same Koran, they all hold different aspects of the religion as their tenets. Although Salat is obligatory upon all of them, they do not hold the same beliefs. Sadly, they are not aware of the reality of Salat. They understand it is an obligation; they perform it but without the knowledge of why it is an obligation; their Salat does not reach God.

- God does not look at the bodies or the actions thereof, he looks at the heart and the intentions therein. And Salat becomes destruction for those who perform it without the presence of their heart. This is why His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi tells people to become Momin by practical means.

- The first lesson in Spirituality is for a novice aspirant to become Fana Fee Sheikh (Spiritually Infused with the Spiritual Guide). In order to achieve this the disciple has to maintain visualisation of the Spiritual Guide.

- Spiritual Guides are appointed and anointed by God, therefore, they have Divine Light in them thus visualising the Spiritual Guide grants you Divine Light. When you maintain the visualisation, the Spiritual Guide is immediately notified and directs his attention towards you.

- There are 3 benefits of visualisation of the Spiritual Guide: 1) You obtain Divine Light from the Spiritual Guide. 2) The love for the Spiritual Guide increases in your heart. 3) The sins accumulated on your heart are washed away and this is the greatest virtue.

- Visualisation is more important than engaging in Dhikr (remembrance of God) because with Dhikr alone you have to repeat the name of God 101 times before Divine Light is starts to be generated in the heart, however, visualisation produces Divine Light instantly.

Find out how the Original Sin is directly linked to the Divine Rope in His Holiness Younus AlGohar's detailed lecture.

Main Points:

- When God created Adam and Eve in paradise, they were asked not to eat from the Forbidden Tree. However, the Devil enticed Eve to disobey God by saying that it's an unnecessary restriction; resulting in their expulsion from paradise and entering the world as a punishment.

- When Adam entered the world, he brought the fruits of paradise with him. The fruits in paradise are made with energy, there is no element of waste in them. However, when they were brought in the world the seeds were sowed in earth which causes faecal matter when digested.

- In order to keep in contact with Adam, God attached a rope to his heart. However, due to it being a physical, tangible rope, the birds and wind would cause pain to Adam's heart. Therefore, God transformed that rope into a Divine Rope; spiritual.

- That is where the knowledge of Adam's prophethood began, that of connecting man's heart to God by bringing the name of God into the heart and synchronising it with the heartbeats, thus creating Divine Light and obtaining a connection with God.
