Kya Hazoor Pak (saw) Ko Ibadat Ki Hajat Hai?

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer's question about the way Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) worshipped, why he worshipped and whether he actually needed to worship.

- Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is, by nature, divine light. He does not need to worship, fast or perform any religious rites. He did all these things to serve as a model for his nation.

- To assume that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) needs to fast or worship is a great disrespect. According to the Quran 2:183, fasting was prescribed to purify the Devout Believers - but Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was already pure. He declared that he was a prophet even before coming to the world.

- According to a Hadith-e-Qudsi, God created Adam in his own image. When it came to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), God said in Quran 18:110 that he created Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the image of man - which simply means that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is not a man by nature; rather, he is divine.

Quran 33:56 states that God and his archangels send benedictions upon Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), therefore the Devout Believers are advised to wholeheartedly accept his eminence and send benedictions upon him.

Quran 2:238 decrees one to protect the Salat which is performed by the heart.

- To look at the face of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a form of worship in itself. Therefore, why would Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) need to worship?
