Nafs Ki Iqsam

*** ENABLE CC FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES ***

Younus AlGohar explains the difference between Nafs-e-Ammarah (Commanding Self), Nafs-e-Lawamma (Blameworthy Self) and Nafs-e-Mulhima (Inspired Self).

Summary:

-  Coming out of the state of the Commanding Self is crucial. People used to engage in loud chanting of the Motto of Faith after performing Salat; this would improve the state of their Lower Self, eventually bringing it into the state of the Blameworthy Self.

The Koran 12:53 says that the Commanding Self compels you to do bad.

- Even when you don't feel like sinning, if you have a Commanding Self, it will come under waves of passion during which you will be compelled to sin. If you have a Commanding Self, you feel content having sinned; this is a sign of recognition for the Commanding Self. You are content when you have troubled, harmed or hurt others.

- The sign of recognition for the Blameworthy Self is if one happens to sin, then he regrets it afterwards. He feels shame and blameworthiness. He thinks, 'I should not have done it.'

- One with an Inspired Self doesn't feel much of a craze or passion to sin. But sometimes the circumstances are such that they feel inclined to sin. He feels he is vulnerable in that moment. That is when, spiritually, he receives a message from his Spiritual Guide. He sees his Spiritual Guide's face and it saves him from sinning. An Inspired Self does not allow you to commit a sin. When the Spiritual Guide comes to know that his disciple is about to commit a sin, then the Spiritual Guide will send a message to the disciple and the invocation in their heart will speed up as a result. This is how they will be prevented from sinning.

Aaj Ke Dor Mein Murshid Kese Talash Karen?

How do you find a true Spiritual Guide in today’s day and age, especially when there are so many pseudo-Sufis who have only taken the guise of Spiritual Guides to take people’s money?

Summary:

- The problem with Muslims today is that they do not have the criteria to recognise a true Spiritual Guide. They worship and recite the Koran but they are unable to find the right path. There are two aspects of Sharia: outer and inner. The Muslims have confined themselves to the outer Sharia and do not turn their attention to the inner Sharia, which would purify their Lower Selves. Sectarianism is rampant and the Muslims have developed a very close-minded attitude towards the religion. When they are unable to recognise true Spiritual Guides, how will they recognise Imam Mehdi?

- The world is very strange. Pseudo-Sufis who are only after people’s money will have millions of followers. In contrast, people are so quick to criticise and disrespect those who give them the practical criteria through which they can recognise a true Spiritual Guide and enlighten themselves. The reason why Muslims are in such a terrible state is largely due to the religious clerics, who have projected such a twisted, superficial understanding of the religion to the public.

Koran 39:22 says, ‘One who has obtained Shahr-e-Sadr (Opening of the Chest) with God’s Personal Name for Islam shall receive divine energy from his Lord.’

- The people who recite the Koran are unaware that Shahr-e-Sadr is the core of Islam. Ask those claiming to be Spiritual Guides to grant you Shahr-e-Sadr, because this is something only a Spiritual Guide can do. No religious cleric or pseudo-Sufi can do this. True Spiritual Guides will, in the first instance, insert God’s name and divine energy in your heart. They will not ask you about how much you worship before they do this.

‘Do not follow those whose hearts I have kept heedless of my remembrance.’ - Koran 18:28

- Ask the religious clerics for proof of their hearts being engaged in God’s remembrance. If their hearts are heedless of the invocation of God’s name, then how would they grant the invocation of God’s names to others? You will not recognise a true Spiritual Guide until you know why you need one - and the reason you need a Spiritual Guide is to obtain Shahr-e-Sadr.

‘Verily! I have sent a model to follow in the guise of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) for those who seek me, [have hope] in the Day of Judgement and who engage in my remembrance abundantly.’ Koran 33:21

- The people who seek God are advised to follow Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and try to become like him. The job of the Spiritual Guide is to ensure that happens. Koran 33:21 is like your charter - if you follow Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), you will obtain everything mentioned therein. To follow the Esoteric Customs of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), you need a Spiritual Guide who will connect you spiritually to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

- A true Spiritual Guide will insert the Motto of Faith that you recite verbally into your heart. He will make your heart invoke upon God. One who does that is your Spiritual Guide.

Zikar Allah Kya Hai?

*** ENABLE CC FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES ***

Younus AlGohar explains what Zikar Allah (Invocation of God’s name) is at the request of a viewer.

Summary:

'The obligation of Zikar Allah comes before all other obligations.' - Prophetic Tradition

- Repeating God's name over and over is the invocation of God's name (Zikar). It is greater than Salat and it is the foremost obligation in the religion. Obligations are either temporary or eternal. Salat is a temporary obligation and Zikar is an eternal obligation.

God said in Koran 4:103 that you must stay engaged in God's invocation while sitting, standing and even sleeping.

A Prophetic Tradition states those who fail to fulfil the eternal obligation, their temporary obligations are not accepted either.

- There are many forms of worship but the invocation of God is God’s favourite. God particularly enjoys it when a human being in the Terrestrial Realm has engaged his heart in invocation of God’s name and the voice of his heart echoes in the Empyrean of God. When the sound of the invocation reaches up there but the one invoking upon God is unseen, the angels ask God, 'Whose voice is this?' God says smugly, 'This is the voice of the human being whom you refused to prostrate to.'

- Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) told a gathering of Companions including Umar-e-Farooq and Abu Bakr Siddiq, ‘When you see the Gardens of Paradise on Earth, enter and graze there.’ Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) explained that the Gardens of Paradise were the Zikar gatherings - and he advised them to participate in them. He said 'graze' because those whose inner faculties are not enlightened are known as animals in spiritual circles; however, divine energy would still enter them (but not settle there) when they sat in the Zikar gatherings. So this was one way that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was starting to give the Companions who were unenlightened spiritual knowledge.

One Prophetic Tradition states, 'Engage in God's invocation so passionately that when a hypocrite looks at you, he accuses you of showing off.'

'Engage in as passionate invocation of my name as you used to come here and praise your ancestors.' - Koran 2:200

- The Naqshbandi Sufi Order does not advise Zikar-e-Jehr, but there are many benefits to Zikar-e-Jehr. The veils of heedlessness are removed with Zikar-e-Jehr. The entire field of Zikar is linked to Sufism. People of every religions engage in invocation of God's name because Zikar is not confined to any religion - it is to do with God.

- Salat is a form of worship within the religion. No Prophetic Tradition says that the first question you will be asked on the Day of Judgement will be about your Salat.

'Neither your sons nor wealth shall benefit you on that Day. On that Day, only he shall be successful who brings with him a Secured Heart.' - Koran 26:88-89

The Koran 29:45 says, 'Salat stops you from committing bad deeds and immoral acts, whereas invocation of God's name is greater.'

Kya Auliya Se Madad Mangna Jayez Hai?

*** ENABLE CC FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES ***

Younus AlGohar’s definitive answer in light of the Koran to a question that is hotly debated in the Islamic community: is it Shirk (appointing a partner with God) to seek help from the saints?

Summary:

‘God is your Helper, Gabriel is your Helper, the Sauliheen and the Devout Believers are your Helpers and even the Archangels are your Helpers.’ - Koran 66:4

Ever since sectarianism has dominated Islam, the sects have projected various notions. Some say it is Shirk to seek help from the saints or Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). However, this verse of the Koran demonstrates that none of that is true.

The word used in this verse is ‘Moula’ which translates to ‘one who helps.’ Moula in Arabic and Ghous in Urdu mean the same thing.

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) isn't mentioned in this verse by name because when God says, ‘[That] God is your Helper,’ he is referring to the presence of God in Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). That God who resides in Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is your Helper according to Koran 66:4. If it were not for the word 'Hu (that)' in Arabic here, it would mean something else.

Do not for a moment believe that it is wrong or Shirk to seek help from the saints or the Sauliheen. This is the verdict given directly by the Koran.

Zikar e Qalb Kon Kar Sakta Hai?

*** ENABLE CC FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES ***

Younus AlGohar answers a question from a viewer, ‘Who can practise Zikar-e-Qalb (Invocation of God’s Name in the Heart)?’

Summary:

According to a Prophetic Tradition, 'Zikar Allah is the foremost of all obligations.'

- Zikar is the first obligation and the First Pillar in Islam. There are two types of obligations: permanent obligations and temporary obligations. Zikar is a permanent obligation. Before Salat was brought down, all the Companions would do was Zikar.

A Prophetic Tradition states, 'Whosoever fails to fulfil his permanent obligations, God does not accept any temporary obligations he may have fulfilled.'

Koran 2:152 states,  'Practise my Zikar and I will practise yours.'

- If a Spiritual Guide stops you from practising the first Pillar of Islam, Zikar, then he is not a Spiritual Guide at all. He is a Devil. The Zikar you engage in will free you of the evil spirits and Jinns troubling you. If you have a Spiritual Guide but he forbids you from engaging in Zikar, leave him. Call our WhatsApp number  +447380315726 and obtain Zikar-e-Qalb with the blessings of His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi instead.

One Prophetic Tradition states, 'Whoever engages in Zikar is living whereas whoever doesn't is dead.'

- After the Conquest of Mecca, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) advised his Companion to progress from the Lesser Jihad to the Greater Jihad. In that same statement, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) told them that even greater than distributing a mountain of gold for the sake of God was to engage in Zikar with the heart and Lower Self in God’s eyes. The engagement of Zikar by your heart and Lower Self will take you towards God.

- The heart is tarnished because when you sin, as a punishment, that sin is recorded in your Book of Deeds and at the same time, a black spot is placed upon your heart. With an abundance of sins, your heart becomes blackened - when that happens, no advice is effective on it. Neither the Koran nor Prophetic Traditions have any effect on it. That is when the Companions asked the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) how to cleanse the heart. That is when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said, ‘There is a means of polishing everything that tarnishes. The polish of the heart is Zikar Allah.’

Sachi Tauba Kya Hai?

*** ENABLE CC FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES ***

What is true repentance from sins in the eyes of God? Watch this video featuring Sufi Spiritual Revivalist, Younus AlGohar, to find out.

Summary:

'Avoid committing the Major Sins and I will forgive your Minor Sins.' - Koran 4:31

- The world we live in is full of sins. No matter how pious you are, chances are that you will sin. Any sin that has to do with your inner being is a Major Sin. Any sin that has to do with your body is a Minor Sin.

- Repentance isn't just to say the phrase, 'I won't do it again.' Rather, in reality, repentance is the act of purging the power in you which forces you to sin. God considers the act of purifying your Lower Self to be true repentance from all sins because the Lower Self is the root of evil.

- When the Lower Self starts to be purified, without you pondering over it, you regret sinning and repent over it. This is because the Lower Self changes from the state of the Commanding Self to the Blameworthy Self. The Lower Self makes you feel blameworthy. It says to you, 'What have you done?'

Koran 12:53 says that the Commanding Self will compel you, force you, to sin.

- So your promises and repentance will mean nothing if you don't pay any attention to the state of your Lower Self.  True repentance is Touba-tan-Nasooh (Nasooh's Repentance). This only happens when one becomes determined to eradicate the root of evil in them. In other words, to purify the Lowe Self. Even if such a person does not verbally proclaim, 'I repent, God,' that is what he is doing practically.

Koran 87:14 states, 'Verily, he shall be successful who purifies his Lower Self.'
