Kya Sayedna Gohar Shahi Ka Quran Mein Zikar Hai?

Younus AlGohar answers a viewer's question about whether or not the Quran mentions His Divine Eminence Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi.

- God used different titles for Prophet Mohammad (saw) such as 'My Beloved Wrapped in a Blanket' (Quran 73:1), or 'Divine Lantern' (Quran 33:46 and Quran 24:35).

Haqooq ul Ibaad Aur Haqooq Allah

I heard that God will forgive any obligations to him that we fail to fulfill as long as we fully respect the rights of others on us. Is this true?'

Summary:

- The idea that you can neglect your obligations to God in favour of fulfilling your obligations to your family has been spread by the religious clerics. This concept promotes worldliness.

- If God were to forgive you for completely neglecting your obligations to him - such as carrying out the required worship, fasting and embarking on the spiritual quest to find God - then you would not have to answer questions during the Torment of the Grave.

'Become lost in the name of your Lord and cut off ties with all other relations'. Quran 73:8
- As a member of society, Islam teaches you the rights of others upon you. This is so that you do not behave unjustly with anybody.

- First and foremost, God has all rights upon you. After him comes the rights of Prophet Mohammad (saw), then the Ahle Bayt (Household of the Prophet) and then all others. The Spiritual Mediator represents God's, Prophet Mohammad (saw)'s and the Ahle Bayt's rights upon you.

- If God were to forgive everybody for neglecting his rights upon them, then he would not have created hellfire.

Kya Murshid Gunahon Se Bachata Hai?

Do the Spiritual Guides save their disciples from sins? Do they give their disciples a license to sin?

Summary:

- The subtleties in the breast relate to the five Grand Messengers. The Ana in the forehead relates to God. The Nafs (Lower Self) relates to the Devil. The body relates to the Spiritual Guide. Whichever subtlety is deprived of its respective relation is rendered useless.

- When you are born in the world, the Nafs has an established connection with the Devil already, therefore it dominates all the other subtleties in the body.

- The Spiritual Guide has all rights over your body. He can have you do anything, even chores in his house. While you do that, he engages your souls in worship and commemoration of God.

- The Spiritual Guide does not save you from sins. He stops you committing sins altogether by eliminating the desire to sin from within you. He purifies your Nafs, your eyes and your character.

- When Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani told his disciples that they could do anything without a worry, for he had far-reaching power - what he meant was that they could engage in any type of spiritual practice and he had enough power and authority to take them to their destination.

Qawwali Aur Sama Mein Farq

Younus AlGohar explains the difference between a Qawwali and a Sama.

Main points:

⁃ A Qawwali is technically a Sama as it is sung with melody, but it originated from the Chishti Sufi Order which traces its roots to Ali. They would sing the saying of Ali and call it Qoul-e-Ali which evolved into Qawwali. A schema was made for Qawwalis stating that there should be a harmonium, a tabla and a chorus too.

⁃ In the past, it was only with the Spiritual Mediator's permission that people were allowed to become Qawwalists. Their hearts and Lower Selves had to be enlightened. When they sang, love sat in peoples’ hearts.

⁃ Fakirs and novice seekers of the Sufi path are advised not to listen to the Sama or Qawwalis. This is because they may mistake the emotions they feel as a result of the music as being their own, genuine, love for God.

⁃ Nevetheless, Qawwalis are allowed in Islam. It is the Prophets’ names being sung in music, so music is also allowed. If the music promoted indecency and immorality, it would not be allowed.

Marnay Ke Baad Rouh Kahan Jaati Hai?

What happens to the soul after we die? Younus AlGohar explains in light of his extensive spiritual knowledge.

Summary:

- The Malik ul Maut extracts the main soul of anyone who dies. The procedure is the same whether one has an enlightened heart or not.

- People will die according to the time God has chosen for them. It is never difficult for the Malik ul Maut to take out someone's soul.

- The Torment of the Grave is for the Nafs (Lower Self), not the soul. God showers his wrath upon the graves of some people - this is to protect those buried around them. God's wrath ensures that the Devil does not come to kidnap that Nafs.

- After the demise, the main soul will be taken to either Illiyin or Sijjiyin, which are 'teasers' for paradise and hell respectively. Their ultimate fate will be decided on the Day of Judgment. Someone in possession of Dhikr-e-Qalb (The Heart Activation) will be placed in Illiyin; all those who are unenlightened will be placed in Sijiyin.

'On that Day, neither your sons nor your wealth shall benefit you. Only he shall be successful who brings with him a Qalb-e-Saleem (Secured Heart).' - Koran 26:88-89

- As God states in Koran 100:10, after weighing a Zakir-e-Qalbi's deeds and actions, the subtleties of the breast shall be examined. God will ask to see the Spiritual Heart - and when he sees the love of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), HDE Gohar Shahi and God therein, God will send that person to paradise without any further questions.

'According to a Prophetic Tradition, God deals with a person based on his conjecture for God. Is this true?'

Summary:

- This is only true for those who have befriended God, not a common person who only reads about God in the celestial books. It is only after you meet God and communicate with God that you develop a conjecture for him.


- A conjecture is a careful calculation of your characteristics and habits. A person develops a conjecture for God based on how God has dealt with him in the past.

- If God has continually blessed you and been merciful upon you, you will develop a conjecture that God will always be this way with you. This is when the Prophetic Tradition mentioned in the question applies.

Allah Ki Mohabbat Mein Imtihan

Younus AlGohar explains how God tests those who aspire for his love.

Summary:

- God places the Spiritual Hearts of his elite in the Station of Love before sending them into the world. Prophet Mohammad's Spiritual Heart was kept there for 70 000 years.

'You cannot obtain the best of all goodness (bir) [and please God] until you sacrifice that which you love most for God.' - Koran 3:92

- Being enlightened through Activation of the Heart is one thing but obtaining God's love requires sacrifice. You have to be tested.

- Love is granted to you by God when you pass the tests of love successfully. God doesn't place all Spiritual Heat in the Station of Love, so if he wants to grant you his love, he will place your heart in the chest of Moula Ali or Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) if you are a Muslim.

- If you are a follower of HDE Gohar Shahi, your heart will be placed in His chest. This is how you will be granted God's love.

Darhi Ki Miqdar

Younus AlGohar discusses why Muslims were advised to keep beards and how it should be done per the religious law.

Summary:

- Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said that the Jews grow their moustaches and trim their beards, so the Muslims should do the opposite. The concept of keeping a bead was given so as to different the Muslims from the non-Muslims, because in the Arab society, people of all religions looked similar.

- Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) did not specify the length of the beard but he himself would not let his beard grow beyond the length of his fist. He never told people not to groom their beards.

- Spirituality is not to be found in keeping a beard. Your beard does not affect your character. Your bead has nothing to do with the religion itself.

Sufi Path is the Path to Love

The first in our new series of English-language videos for the aspirants of Sufism, this video is a great introduction to anyone wishing to embark on the Sufi path.

Summary:

- Sufism is the path of love and purification. Through it, you apply to God for his love. To follow this path, you adapt the ways of the Sufis.

- Sufism involves Activation of the Spiritual Heart, the celestial soul that sits on top of the physical heart. It is the gateway of love. You will obtain this Activation of the Spiritual Heart only through a divinely ordained Spiritual Mediator.

‘Whoever recognises himself has only recognised his Lord.’ - Prophetic Tradition

- The Self is of two types: terrestrial and celestial. The Terrestrial Self is the Subtlety of Nafs (Lower Self) and the Celestial Self is the Subtlety of Ana (Higher Self). Ana means ‘I’ in Arabic and it is representation of God in us.

- There are many thousands of Sufis who are successful in purifying their Nafs, but they never managed to see God. So this word ‘Self’, in this particular Prophetic Tradition does not refer to the Lower Self; rather, it is referred to the Higher Self which is the Ana. This is why the Lower Self is directly connected to the Higher Self. When both are purified, you are a complete Self.

Nafs Ko Qatal Karna Kya Hai?

What is the Nafs (Lower Self) and how do we destroy it?

Summary:

- The Nafs is from the nation of Jinns. The Terrestrial Realm (this universe) is it’s home. It has been placed inside you to test you and keep you interested in the world and it’s comforts. You need spiritual knowledge to purify it.

- The Qalb (Spiritual Heart) comes from the Angelic Realm. It is dormant in you but when it is awakened, it pulls you towards the higher realms.

- To purify the Nafs, you have to change its diet from Naar (Negative Energy) to Noor (Divine Energy). It can change from Ammarah (Commanding Self) to Lawwama (Blameworthy Self) from your worship and austerities, but you need Noor to help it progress beyond that. The Nafs has to recite the Kalima (Motto of Faith) and the Murshid (Spiritual Mentor) has to give it Noor with his spiritual concentration.

- Koran 2:54 says to break the Nafs apart. The Nafs is a combination of four Jinns bound together with Naar. You need to break the bond with Noor.

- An easy way to purify your Nafs and teach it to be obedient to HDE Gohar Shahi is as follows:

1. Perform ablution and sit down on a prayer mat.
2. Visualise HDE Gohar Shahi.
3. Verbally chant ‘Mehdi-e-Barhaq Gohar Shahi’ while focusing on the point of the Nafs.
